Right aircraft for the right job and a few stupid questions
Online Id class myself as a noob in but i am learning and as long as i ramp up in skill to hold my own that is fair enough. I have however noticed that some people including my self are using aircraft that dont seem fit for the game mode example strike and as i know some of you are hardcore online aviators so i ask the question(s)
1. Which aircraft is the best for noobs to learn and which is the hardest? 2. What range do you begin to fire your weapons? 3. Ive been ripped quite a few kills by nuggets crashing ..i guess on purpose but i noticed last night the enemy were landing ..... silly question but does this repair the aircraft? 4.Any pointers or even or tips would be great. |
This all refers to simulation mode,
But I think the Spitfire MkIV is a great plane to begin with. I 16 is also a good training plane. Just watch the dive. About 1 km to fire guns... I wait 'till I'm much closer though because I play with limited ammo. That enemy was probably landing for fun... No ammo refils. A lot of the people on realistic and sim aren't crashing on purpose. It's because their plane is too dammaged to fly. |
Thanks Pedro ......Your words of wisdom muchly appreciated.

No problem friend.
If you're on XBox and are interested in flying some simulation dogfights then feel free to add me. Tag: PedroTheGoat It may be a tad frustrating for the first while you play with us. I mean, you'll be flying with the top 10 ranked in the world. (Not that that says a WHOLE lot. Not a lot of people play online simulation) But if you stick with us then you'll become really good and you'll have a lot of fun flying with us. We're good peeps. I'm going to bump my Simulation flight school thread up so you can take a read. |

It's possible that people were landing because you were playing a Capture the Airfield match.

Do you need to land to capture airfields i thought it was a matter of just having air supperiority over the area? Wow i know nothing of this game. |

if you sucessfully land and stay down long enough you take the airfield. The enemies TICKETS will then start being reduced until they retake it. kills only take off one ticket. get to zero tickets and Game over.its basically capture th e flag.. as for flying on realistic/sim - just my opinion but I find the Bf109s more forgiving. In dogfights anything up to G2 will turn well- G6/10 and K4 have monstrous firepower which I used to swear by but up against spits and Las you can get ass wiped. Make sure to turn down sensitivity on controls when crossing over from arcade (and back up if you go back)...and as for the jets they're good for attacking bombers or being a sneaky bar steward...dogfighting they stink. for cta anything goes, but a easy landing plane makes sense...the mc 202 and hurricane is a piece of cake to land...so is the PO but it should circling giant apes in New York... for strike get on a team game and try and earn your B17...in the meantime anything goes..the Ju87 again is VERY forgiving and you can chuck it around near the deck...personally I cannot find much to love about the IL-2(heresy!) but many swear by it... most importantly find what works for you...Enjoy ________ Alaska medical marijuana dispensary |
I've been finding the La7 a sweet ride, super stable and easy to throw about in a dogfight. But when I do get on someones six I just cant take planes down with it.
The Spifire Mk IX seems to need a bit more care to fly about but has plenty of guns when you need to take a shot and there's always the Hurricane. Bit slower manuvering but its also pretty stable. My learning process so far has kinda gone like this Learn to fly the plane. Learn to look about. Try to do both at once. Fly while keeping looking at one specific target (I'm not getting too bad at this...ish) Actually shoot people down. |
I kept getting out turned by the spitfire flying this plane. I do like flying it though.
