Pedestrian Mod.
OK. Since the last Pedestrian Mod thread was a not up to par, and had to be closed down twice, I have PM'd several people with my suggestions, and asked of theirs that had unresolved issues with this mod. I have evaluated their concerns, and inputs with regards toward this mod. The last thread was full of confusion, contradictions, incomplete instructions, lack of cooperation with their partners, and general bugs with the Rig'n'Roll program itself. Therefore I have decided to create this new one from scratch, and keeping only one Pedestrian Mod that had better instructions, and the least problematic.
If anyone else wishes to enhance, or create a different Pedestrian Mod with good instructions, and report known issues, or bugs, please do so. If you can't handle constructive criticism, or complaints about your Mods, then please don't post them. There was one good Pedestrian Mod from Nicu_n21 that will be posted below this post. It was well written, and had the least complaints. It needs some tweaking as reported by other members. So I'll let him address them as the situation warrants. |
Sorry for the delay

If their computers not give them permission to play the game at the maximum details, then, I advise they not to make this change. http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/5384/photo0001c.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/9614/photo0004l.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/1160/photo0000g.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

Simplifie this please, do we only have to download the latest script link or the first and do we have to use java or just replace 1 file and do we have to make folders or not ??? Pls make this CLEAR! |

Well it doesn't work with my old (premod) savedgames. And I'm not sure if it works with savedgames at all, cuz previous versions had this problem that when you start a new agme there are pedestrians, but when you save your game and the load it, they ar gone.

1: Create a new profile 2: Start new game 3: Save the game 4: import your saved game from yours old profile in new profile (the saved game folder is located in: C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Games\RigNRoll_usa_ws\profile_name\SinglePlayer) 5: Load your game. let me know if you have problems |

Problem kinda solved Don't know about just reloading savegame, but what helps is: first starting a single order game wich has pedestrians (just start pick a cargo and turn it off) and the loading a savegame.
Btw: I see why they disabled it. Pedestrian movement is quite glichy, and they start to push eachother around and often apear on the road so driving on the lane wich is by the sidewalk is very dangerous. |
Maybe that's why he got this? ;)

Yeah, I gues it will be hard to finish the game with peds :]. But I have another problem. I'm not sure yet, but I have suspicions that theres no storyline with this script, cuz I have played for some time now and no one related to storyline calls me and at the begining you start at different place, and there is no that guy who needs a wrench when you exit Oxnard for a first time.

Quote:
Some time the person with wrench contacts you via CB radio Try to stay at the hotel two days. After two days, the person should contacts you via CB radio Has anyone encountered problems like this? Please, everyone who installed pedestrians, let me know if you have problems. please let me know if it works I like to know if you have problems or not I received very few posts on this topic For Transport Steve : Sorry, but I can not change the amount of the fine. |
I'd better not hit too many pedestrians then, otherwise, I won't have any money left. $80,000+ fine for damages seems a hell of a lot of money, can you amend the amount so that we don't need to pay so much, please ??
Thank you. Transport Steve. |

This is also why a lot of people don't see vehicle activity in Truck Stops, Parking Lots & Gas Stations. You have to set the Traffic all the way to achieve this, and most people are un-willing to do this because the AI traffic stinks. |

Yeah it's pretty bad in LA for me too. Crashed in warehouse 3 out of 3 times :] But I think it's not nicu's fault, it's just that pedestrians are bugy. I like that game punishes so bad for hiting a pedestrian, it's realistic (It seems that pedestrian's damage is somehow calculated) and it stop's you from going over the city and not obeing city limit. Just too bad that they are glitchy and sometimes teleports in front of the truck or into the truck. If developers will fix pedestrians, would be cool to have some times some drunk ped wandering out in the street at night :] |

if your computer allow you to set the traffic details at maximum, then the pedestrian modification work for you. the pedestrians will lower fps |

thanks, now the peds work for me. i used to run the game at 50fps, now a run at 40 fps. glad i have a 2.7/2.8ghz processor. both dual core |

OK, enough with the traffic. Let's get back on topic with the Ped Mod. I didn't mean to derail this thread with my original comment. It was only used as an example. |
Thanks for this, going to check it out now, will add some cool immersion into the game I think.

Torrent is piracy, and is not allowed on this forum. I helped you for 3 hours, and you didn’t even buy the game. Shame on you, and your friend. You are now banned from the site. All posts were deleted relating to assistance for this former member.:!:
|
Sorry Nicu n21. I deleted your post because this guy is not deserving of our assistance. Thanks for your time just the same.

How the hell can some one get over $8,000,000 and where is the download link for the ped. mod?
|
Hello & Welcome to the Forum. :)
It isn't hard to get 8 million or 10 for that matter. It's just a matter of how long you play. As to the link to the Pedestrian Mod, Megaupload no longer exist, so it's a matter for Nicu_n21 to correct, or provide us with another link, if he wishes to do so. I can't make him do it. ;) |
