For the Developers: wrong 3D model of Bf 109F in Il-2: BOM pictures
2 Attachment(s)
Dear Developers,
I have noticed a graphical bug on the (work in progress) Bf 109F screenshots published of the Il-2: Battle of Moscow. It appears that the 3D model of the 109F has a slight issue, namely that the radiator flaps are missing a detail on the otherwise highly detailed 3d model. The radiator ducting on the 109F had a split arrangements, with a separate boundary layer separator duct running above the coolant radiator and discharging the slower boundary layer through the upper radiator flaps, in order to reduce drag and improve radiator effectiveness. This was deleted on the subsequent 109G and K model. However, the 109F 3d model in Il-2 BOM lacks this details and effectively shows the radiator setup of the 109G instead. Please check the attached images below and if possible, fix this during the development. |
Work has finished on this @ 1C so.....

Osprey, where did you get that from? I heard it too, but i am interested in other sources.
The 109F-Bug was reported to the 3-D modelers afaik. B6 stated that they know about it. |
Well you'll have to try the ATAG or SIMHQ forums because discussion here about that isn't allowed.

Thx.
From the German Ubi-Forum I heard (yesterday) that work continues, but with 777-Studio-Members. Luthier seems to have left 1C and is working on a Korea-Project with another engine. http://forums-de.ubi.com/showthread....nd-12-Nov-2012 |
