Channel Battles is Good
I have been trying the Desastersoft Channel Battles add on. In Gernman but I don't speak it.
ALready I have Wick vs Dundas in English which is great, I love it. New radio commands and scripting is excellent. SO I have bought the German language add on of Channel Battles because I can't wait for the English Have been flying Ju87 St G 77 campaign and it is FANTASTIC. So I can't understand anything - no problem. Just fly wingman, follow the leader, bomb the same target, dodge the RAF, it is way cool. And very atmospheric with all radio in German. There is also many other campaign, not just Ju87 but I wanted to start with that one. I recommend even if your German is limited to what you learn from Das Boot! |
Yes, the campaigns by Desastersoft are very well done - I did enjoy them until the missing radio commands and stupid AI became too blatant in my eyes.
To clarify: the campaigns don't include any new radio commands that you can send to the AI, but you receive triggered prerecorded audio messages (mostly from your Staffel- or Rotteführer) |
Good News!

I own it and recommend it. Great work!

Yes, stupid AI. But that is in the game, not the add on. But at least Desastersoft has tweaked to optimise what is there, along the same as the recommendations of Heinkill.
http://bobgamehub.blogspot.dk/2012/0...-of-dover.html At least in most of the missions with these settings and with desastersoft mission I don't get stupid barrel rolls and ai not engaging. |
I have Wick vs Dundas in English vertion. Looking forvard to get the Channel Battles in english. They are awsome mission makers. Hope they someday would do some big online missions for us, who dont hane any talent for scripting, but would like to host some event from time to time.

can you fly those missions in multi player coop setup to ?

Thanks for the tip. If MG manage to pull it together I will certainly celebrate by buying this. The Desastersoft people seem to understand how to make a good campaign.
