1c Maddox, A positive note.
As a mission builder (Self titled) I can sit building missions that can take a couple of months and over 200 hours to code.
There is testing time and then the bug fixes. I have my heart in wanting this game to be great and it will be in time. If I am not happy with the way it is running then I turn to building missions and exploring just how amazing this game is. I bet most of you complaining would not know a 10th of what you can do in this game right now. I understand what the 1c team go through. When it comes to release dates.. Yes I get excited and I make an announcement that the mission is coming out "Tomorrow" or on "The Weekend". But as the days get closer and I continue to make improvements, the improvements can throw a spanner in the works and stuff something else up in the mission. release dates can slide. This sort of thing can then take an entire day or more to fix, test and re-build for release. It happens all the time and it is just part of coding very complicated missions that have many links to other things. This is just a small part of a bigger picture, like an entire game like COD. So yes, we all have best intentions to release things when we say we want to. But things go wrong, unexpected delays happen because of our want to produce the best product, and some times there is an element of just bad luck. So when delays happen like this, you have to think about what I said, and what 1c would be going through with the added pressures of company and community and go back to flying missions that are already up from people and the community that are doing their best to provide atmosphere to a great game. Don't bother complaining about how much you spend or what's not working, we all know, we are all in the same boat, just enjoy what you have for now and be patient. Get in the FMB and come up with crazy game ideas, gather your logged crashes, do what you think could help to improve your own life or the game. Complaining won't help. Maybe when you invest the time like me and others into supporting the game and community, you might be heard. |

Postal! I love that term... use it all the time in the office. so funny. I have been playing Alan Wake the last coupe of days. Scares the crap out of me when playing at midnight in a dark room and a little cold. Great sound in that game.. sucks you in. :)
OOO an my new 240Gb SSD Vertex 4 arrives in a couple of days.. That will hold all my Steam games, the drive is 1-3 times faster than my current SSD drive. |

Cool statement by the way. Do you also play desastersoft campaigns? Great stuff!!! I have both of them. (Wick vs Dundas, Channel Battels) With the comms fixed (fingers crossed) COD is great fun. |
An incredible amount of work has gone into the FMB. If the devs are able to fix the game engine and coding that effect aspects of the FMB, this sim is going to rock.

Thanks for the update hc_wolf.

Unfortunatley I don't have the time, patience or most importantly skill to create such masterpieces in the FMB.
I do however love playing the game, although due to the tree LOD and such I am still playing the last official version and as I play almost always offline the A.I. as basically the only problem I have with it. Since upgrading to a GTX680 2gb card I can play with settings maxed out and the vast majority of the time I have good FPS and no stuttering. So despite my rants yesterday about the lack of patch/news/anything at all from the devs, I will contiunue to play and hope for the issues to be resolved:) |
I am in total agreement with you Wolf :)
