Update regarding crash logs from Luthier


If you ever experience a crash, we want to see your crash dump!

There is a Cppcrash Folder under your main game install

[Program Files]\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover

Which contains a .dmp file for each game crash. We’re very interested in those. Please forward them to ishevchenko (at) 1cpublishing.eu along with your system specs and the description of what you were doing at the time of the crash.

NOTE: we will be looking at all your crash dumps, but I may not necessarily be able to answer general questions or suggestions (while I do read them all)

devs should auto-send their crash dump to a specific server via internet, we are in 2011... :grin:

Good post, Phazon, with clear instructions. I haven't had the chance to fly with the new patch very much, so no computer crashes yet.

If this info is helpful to the devs in making this sim better, then this thread should be made as a "sticky" so everyone, including the devs, can access it easily.

Also I know we have a bug thread already which is filled with general bug reports, but perhaps this thread can be dedicated to just uploading crash dump files and related reports to make it easier for the devs to navigate. :)

Well they aren't exactly plaintext logs of everything on your PC. Its compiled data that really only pertains to the game itself, only the developers can really make sense of it using their debugging tools.

Certainly not as revealing as a DxDiag.

Username is your forum name on 1C (don't know why that would be necessary anyway) not local PC name or anything like that I am sure.

+1000 yeah you'd think someone would thought of this. Crash / restart app - uploads crash dump to a repository in automated process so they can see trends.

It is 2011 but people sometimes have a thing for old school.
