How can i take screenshot without text and console?
 

As title, how can i do screenshots without text (radio comunication) and engine management console?

I know there's a way to do that, but I don't know exactly how. Was never curious to find out.:)

When I want to take nice screens, i usually record a track of the action and take the screens when I replay the recorded track.

You have many options how to play the tracks. You can slow it down, change views, remove icons and you also have the option to play it without the text and stuf. Is quite easy that way and you can concentrate on the flying and fighting in the mission and concentrate on the screens when you take the screens.

I think you have to make sure all yer windows are off to do that?..from tracks you can obviously take the screenies too, cockpit off then slow it down to get yer guncam footage :)

Rather than using steam "F12" screenshot... doesnt the game have its own screenshot function... i cant remember if it takes it without the boxes though... too lazy to look :D

yesterday when playing i pressed printscreen button a couple of time only to find an empty screenshot folder afterwards. anybody knows?

Do you have Steam Cloud enabled?

To do this you need to close all the chat windows and/or control windows.

To close the windows, hover over them with the mouse pointer and hit alt+left click that should highlight the window and right clicking should get you an info box that gives you an option to close the window. You can do this for anything on screen. Not to mention, you can customize your windows any way you want.

There was a post on the forums which I can't find any more, that had a really nice window setup with different fonts etc., that could be copy/pasted into the .ini..

Maybe someone else could find it?

For me the easy way is to record a track and when viewing it I check the two options to Hide Icons and Hide Interface. Voila. It is done your screenshot should be nice and clean.
