XBL sesh anyone?

Anyone fancy a game Sunday 16th? Sometime in the afternoon (GMT)? I'm only on arcade as i've not been playing long!

I have a proposition for you.
I'm always up for a good game and am available pretty much all the time, being a student and all :)
I'd love to play with you, and as you said you haven't been playing long, I'd also be more than happy to teach you how to fly realistic and then if you want, onto simulator.
Basically, give you lots of tips and advice and be cannon fodder.
I dont actually play arcade, but there are quite a few people that still play this game everyday, on realistic and simulator, from what I've seen most don't play arcade.

So the offers there, my gt is sloppyclock, let me know if your up for it!

Hey Jim, I got your FR yesterday, I think I will have to try realistic more often.

Sloppy, I will send you an FR tonight when I get back from work and we will have to arrange something. I am on the Xbox most nights, but have to fit my time in, in and around the other halves soaps!

Looks like i need ALOT more arcade practice before i elevate through the ranks to real or sim. Infact, i am pretty rubbish on arcade too, so this will take some time!

The thing is that the jump from realistic to arcade is quite substantial as the flight models act completely different, and as weird as it sounds the longer you play arcade for the harder it will be to get onto realistic. Just keep going at it, in fact here is a sneaky tip that I use in dogfights:

Instead of smoothly trying to hold the joystick at the correct pressure to get a maximum turn without stalling by banking to hard, snap the controller stick back and forth quickly, you can get intensely sharp turns using this method, just takes a bit of practice.

balderz, i would try more real play. adjust your sensitivities down ( if you already havent ). real is a lot of fun. i do love sim and beavercompany has been dogfighting with me ( and i use that loosely...he fights i run ). finding the target and keeping an eye on it or knowing where you can find it is the hardest part ( for me anyways). keep it up and it will pay off.

I do struggle to get out of spins on real, but I find that I get into them far too easily.

dont we all. you will find out ( at least for me ) if you pull the stick ALL the way you will get a stall/spin. if you leave off just a hair...you have way more control...see if that works for you. but play with the sensitivities...that did a lot for me as well.
