to the aces...
 

hello all... lurking for a month or so and playing too using the info i've read gleaned from the posters here.

went through the game in arcade before i ventured into the online world which i thoroughly enjoy and much to my surprise i'm on the leader board for CTA and S !!!!!! just a little toot of my own horn there :grin:

but of course i don't compare to the big gun aces that dominate the arcade portion where i play and i always seem to end up flying against which i do enjoy even though they just think of shooting me down and it happens :grin:

and actually i enjoy being in the games against the best and especially in D as i use it to try and learn from them. i follow the ace that's on someone's 6 shooting them full of holes... as i struggle to just keep the ace in my view, let alone crosshairs. sometimes i'll try and shoot the ace but more often than not it bring their attention, focus, and fire on me :grin:

i've noticed that a lot of the aces have mics and they tend to be very courteous and not blurt out what they must be thinking while they are riddling me full of holes... i thank them for that and i thank them for tolerating us rookies being on their team and carrying us to Mission Completed.

there are no aces in arcade...............

Back on topic though - Its good you can fly and learn on your chosen difficulty and still enjoy the session. A learning curve if you will :) One day you should try the step up to sim mode and play with a few of us. Maybe just a free flight (no shooting each other down, just simple flying together) so you can get to grips with it and see how each plane performs differently. It makes the game so much more fun.

Though ultimately its a case of each to their own :D

If you fancy a one on one in arcade on ps3 I will disprove your statement completely

...there are no aces on ps3 either....:-P
