Why is everyone so surprised that a Russain company made the American planes suck?

Seriously, I've read thread after thread asking why and I think the answer is very simple.

Russians hate Americans, its not shocker, in the same way Scotish people hate Englsih, its just a fact of life.

Look at it this way it would be like if you asked a fan of (insert sports team of choice) to design a new uniform for there main rivals, of course they'd make it suck!!!!

It probably explains why most of the Russain planes are over spec'd, the IL-10 being a prime example (its practically invincible online in realistic and sim).

I'm sure many people will dispute this, but there is simply no other reason a software house that specialises in flight sim games could get the flight model of such a famous plane as the P51-D so very wrong. They didn't, they made it suck on purpose!

i would have to agree , as much as i love what anton and his team has done there is a small bias

In another thread that was made he made it painfully obvious that there is a bias and stated that russian soldiers did not rape and pillage the lands they took from the germans and stated that "if it did happen there would be documents telling so"

Even though the russians won the war and can keep whatever they want confidential

Right, that'll show 'em. Now Russians will rule the virtual skies. muaahahhah

no.

Why would they do purposely that? It would only be their loss because they would have unhapppy consumers and sales would decrease.

EDIT: AND the team even admitted they had made a mistake on the P-51 and hopefully it will get fixed. If it was really an evil plot why would they admit it was wrong?

OMG, this is just ridiculous...

why would they do that? you kiddin? and why would they FIX it???

if what you say is true, they would say 'no the p-51 model IS correct, it just wasnt a good plane'. THe P-51 in the Il-2 pc version was GOOD. and this is the same model, only they made an error with the fuel tanks (and they addmited).

this is just a lame statement, trully it is. Give the devs some credit! instead of accusing them of childish things like this. grow up

EDIT: and srsly guilty, dont even start talking about war crimes. That topic was banned from this forum long ago

I thought he wrote it was a long story , thus it was more than just emptying the tank. IIRC even a P-51 with a full tank did fly this bad. In either case they said they found the problem so it will be fitted.

That is true yeah :), he said 'an error was made, long story how, but it is fixed' and 'you guys were right, it has full fuel tanks, this will be corrected'.

Anyways, they admitted the error, and are fixing it. I really dont see any reason for this topic, other than just feeding some rant-posters

Lets break your answer down;

Why would they do purposely that? It would only be their loss because they would have unhapppy consumers and sales would decrease.

As far as I can tell, there are indeed many, many unhappy customers constantly complaining about the P51-D, sales haven't been off the scale, and lets face it, the servers aren't exactly briming with people!

Yes there are indeed now scrabbling to fix it, because with major games like MW2 coming out, if they ignore there fan base too much they'll find completely empty servers and nobody buying the DLC. Remember most of the buyers are in fact western based.

I think you are under estimating national pride though, these guys are not sim novices, they know what they are doing, there is no way the could "accidently" completely and utterly screw up such an important flight model.

2 words..... racist morons.

someone close this thread before the idiots speak more.

MorgothNL 09-27-2009 11:22 PM

akuma... how old are you? really.. I want to know
and also, in what world do you live?

MW2 yeah? that is quite in BOP's ally isnt it?

the flight model isnt screwed up! (the same as the IL-2 pc version!!!), the made another error and FIXED it.

you throw your ignorance and ranting in some one elses' face

akuma 09-27-2009 11:23 PM

Americans and Russian aren't races, therefore how can it be racist?
