I just ordered one. I didn't realise how many games I had which it works for and I have had ARMA 2 on my soon to buy list since christmas so more use will come from it. It is really expensive, so much so that I almost didn't buy it but I figure that if I get lots of use out of it then the cost will be worth it in the long run.

It takes a bit of getting used to in Arma2 (and CLOD/ROF for that matter), but once your use to it - it adds a whole new dimension to the game.

Cant and will not fly without it. :) Not only for the ease and edge it gives but also for the immersion it adds.

Furbs could you send me your profile?

I setup facetracknoir in conjunction with a PS3 Eye camera a few days ago and after some tweaking I'm very impressed by how well it performs in CloD and other games. FTN tracks at 50fps/640x480 resolution and as long as the lighting is good I get very smooth and responsive face tracking. CPU usage (i5 2500k) is around 10-15% but has had no impact on game performance so far.

Face tracking is so immersive and I'd highly recommend it if you're on a budget or the idea of wearing leds doesn't appeal.

I tried FTN/Ps3 eye before I ordered my trackir and I found it very jumpy no matter what the settings and it ate up loads of cpu, about 25% of my i5 2500k. It had potential and I reckon if I spent the time on it I could get it to a sweet state but I have spent to much time messing around with various games/mods and programs recently that I just want something that works as I want it straight off for a change so I went for trackir.

If I only had one or 2 games that I would ever really use face tracking for then I would probably have taken the time with FTN/ps3 eye but seeing that I already own 6 trackir enhanced games and will buy 2 more soon I figure it is worth going the whole hog.

My cpu usage was higher to begin with too but just sitting a tad closer to the camera (I usually sit quite far from my monitor anyway) and getting good even lighting cuts down it's workload dramatically.
