Guys, I cannot get the game to launch. I had this problem with the first patch and gave up. I installed the new patch and still only get the yellow crosshairs then nothing. What am I missing?

Don't bother mate. Really.

Pointless continuing with this beta update, it has completely killed the sim and I have just had another 4 crashes in a row (in very innocuous circumstances.....IE the Luftwaffe 'Free Hunt' quick mission, I dived on the RAF planes and it just froze for no reason.) It's not even solely to do with explosions, this is a total abortion.

Ah well. Back to previous version for me. Good luck with sorting this out lads, but we can't help you or give feedback if we can't even play the blinking sim.

The cockpit colors were amazing in the original game. The landscape colors would be amazing in the last beta with a bit less fog for close distances (note bit less means sutile changes). This new beta is horrible in both sides.

Also I have noticed that big smoke columns are transparent so you can see the landscape behind them and flames are blinking (not the natural blinking of the flame) like a z buffer fail or something like this. Sprites like smoke or clouds still are a complete frame killer ( I mean drop to 0 fps ).
You can test the smoke bug blowing up the fuel containers in the town near the airfield in the cross country mission.

There are still black glitches in red wounded vision ( try with damaged cockpit ).

In the positive side, new sounds are good.

C'mon guys why we complaining.....we have 3D :-P

BETA patch. BETA. It means UNFINISHED. My goodness. Don't you realise that when you download a beta patch you are supposed to be doing so to HELP the devs improve it. So you are supposed to provide specific feedback about crashes and bugs, specs and crashlogs, to HELP improve the patch. Congrats to those who realise this and post useful info for the devs.

- what you or the game were doing when the problem happened (loading a mission, flying mission X in aircraft Y.)
- what the result was (game freeze, crash to desktop, stuttering, fps drop)
- informed speculation about the cause
- your sys specs, drivers, operating system

Those of you who are moaning and complaining that this BETA patch has problems should not download beta patches! Wait for the final patch, (and complain about that!)

I have worse performance than in previous beta patch and more awfull than the last official patch.
I tried a quick mission Airfield attack Manston today and the game always freezed after approx. 2 minutes and I had to restart PC.
