Seems a bit excessive. I remember 4 years being mentioned somewhere, which seems more reasonable.

Something tells me that a eliminate the bug's still take a long time. At best, we can expect SOW BFB for Christmas next year.
There's a lot of talk about a supposed huge number of bugs that still need to be fixed, but I have no clue where this is coming from. Certainly not from the devs. Anyway, as explained above already, currently the publisher aims for a release in spring.

In fact, IL-2 is the law for me ;), unfortunately, is not optimized with multi-core processors, which is understandable according to the age of the game..

I guess you mean multithreading? Any game can profit from multiple cores, if you run an adequate OS like Vista or Win7. ;)

Not true. Many programs force the use of one core.
IL2 appears to use two of my four cores when I graph it.

Publisher aims for a release in Spring?? Which publisher would that be then? Theres no chance of a spring release, I would say we would be very lucky if we got it by next September.

The Game Publishers issued the games in April or October i think...
Soo, April is to close..

As I said. Christmas next year...

rgr.

Easy - You aim for Christmas, once you realize you can't make it you go for spring instead.
Better than delaying till following x-mas...

You know what really sux?
Check out the 1c games section and take a closer look at the announced games.
There are games announced for Q4/2011 - nowhere a word about Sow though.
Considering SoW is an inhouse development...

This really scares the crap out of me.

Edit: Maybe s.o. should edit the wiki entry about vaporware and add another title to the list. :(

I know mate, all that xxxxx about thousands playing before October must have been aimed at potential publishers, this game is a long long way off.

@Tree_UK

It seems that your record hangs.
