Anyone know when the mission The Backstab (the one where you have to escort Willi Krauf0 becomes available? CGL? Other missions?

The missions becomes available afetr the 7th rebel or government mission is finished.

Can anyone tell me where Gonzo Tartera is hiding? The guy you are after in the "A Group" mission, given to you by Juan Rebenga? Can't find the damn bastard anywhere, turned Segrada upside down, killed some armed civilians, which I assumed were his bodyguards, but he is nowhere to be seen =(

He appears after some time. When you come to Sagrada after receiving this mission, main char says something along the lines "Now all I gotta do is wait". And wait you do. If you like waiting a long time - wait with time acceleration 7,5 in map, while running around the map with your squad. This will net you some increased strength and agility AND WILL cause several crashes ;)

Another way - leave sector and let the time flow, without leaving the city. Wait some hours and enter map. In my case the guy appeared :)

If you cant figure out how long to wait - wait a few days, and track when the quest fails. This is the time when Tartera leaves the city, load and enter the city before he leaves. Also - kill his guards after the guy appears, might be some mess otherwise, given the quirky nature of the game :)

A long time ago R@S gave me a good solution to this mission.

When you arrive in the city, kill the armed civillians(saiga shotguns),
those are his buddys.
Then just let time advance while on the map screen and you will get a battle note when he enters the sector. Just waste him then.
Its kind of a work around, but the mission is coded shoddy to begin with and just a pain to complete like the devs wanted you to.

How do i start the main mission? I've talked to the guy near the hotel, but nobody seems to know where the target is at. The only person with a mission is Loyd, do I have to accept it to get things rolling?

the mission you get from Loyd is an side quest. more side quests can you get in the bar if you talk to the bartender.

Second or third "Tang" mission, you're supposed to retrieve something from the mechanic Jose, is he/are they- all supposed to turn hostile sa soon as the item is turned over????

I think so. Otherwise it would be a bit too easy.
