Most have high end rigs and 64Bit OS's. They report no CTD's in any other gaming genre's. I myself have a modest spec PC (Got to wait for Santa for a more powerful PC) that has no problem running both Aircraft and Tank based Sims. In Unigine Heaven Benchmark, DirectX 11 will run for hours with no BSOD's and still give high 50's fps. I am prepared to accept that I wont be able to see meadow grass or dense forests to keep decent fps's and mid settings graphics. As I stand at the moment, I can land a Tiggi Moth" on the Mall and not drop below 30fps, but on-line combat, 15-20 mins tops in non historical servers before CTD.. So for me as the song says "Things can only get better"

The whole CTD thing is weird, I dont ever get them aside from occasionally when I load a replay track, but thats less of a CTD and more of a game freeze... I have Win 7 64bit, and a very modest system... I play online (the only bad thing about it is my combat skills).

I did tweak alot, followed alot of the guides and such. Dont know whaat the difference might be.

sith do you fly with squad mates or normally by yourself, I find I get most of my CTD when flying in formation especially with two engine aicraft.

I am usually flying with one other person, to call it a formation might be a stretch :)

That may be it, something with multiple planes in close proximity, as I do find myself solo alot... I will try and fly in formation more in the next few days and see if I have issues...

Seriously? Am I missing something or did this just came from the Forum Moderator himself? You realize this reflects directly into how 1C is perceived to treat its customers?

I never made a whine/complaint festival in more than 10 years of my relationship with 1C (indeed I do think this is my FIRST post), but I am seriosuly consider making one now!

Show some respect man. I understand those foruns can be difficult at times, but you can (and SHOULD!) be much better than this.

He was talking to all of us. Which makes 1C look even worse.

I think he was talking to the people that make a whine fest out of these threads... not sure how that makes 1C look bad when he speaks the truth... I would hate to be a mod here...

There is a point when it's necessary to accept the problem, and swallow the bitter pill. Right now there is more whining than constructive criticism. Unsurprisingly, the whiners tend to see this differently.

The Silent Hunter series weren't exactly polished games when they came out, and the support was minimal, but the difference was that the community was more supportive. The members acknowledged and accepted the problems after an initial period of discontent, and they improved the games to the near masterpieces they are now.

I am not getting such an impression from this community for whatever reason. 1C and especially Luthier's development team are not Microsoft. They made mistakes, and they've acknowledged that. Things will take time to fix. The next step is to wait without getting too hot-headed.

I am sure when the patch is working, SDK is out and there is a good documentation of the mission builder then the whiners will fade out. Currently 1C & the whiners deserve each other imhho.

Best, Allons!
