A few quick observations:

* Skins work now as they should, and the wearing works - nice

* The FF support has really become a lot better! Before the stick was limp for 10-20 seconds (or until you did a violent manouvre) - now it works from start! before it just "lost it" after a while too, never had that now either!

* AA works now - on my GTX580 at least!

* The fps is even better? Hard to tell as it was great even on the last patch. On "all high" and 8x AA over London i get around 90 fps a few hundred feet up and 45-50 while passing under the Tower Bridge in the cockpit. No need for more on my rig at least (but it is rather good). No stuttering at all...

* I can not put my finger on it - but the FM:s of the planes I have tried feel better! Could be positive thinking though!

* Previously distant land with a lot of rivers looked like the Nile delta - not any more - and I like that a lot!

Thanks a lot for the patch!

Just tried going online to test Spit II, would be more useful if the server running the beta patch actually included it. Can't really test it online and give feedback if the servers don't have it running! ;)

Well, if that becomes a proven fact for everyone else... I will dump crappy AMD and grab a new Nvidia card!!!

On high settings I get between 1 to 20 FPS over London with AA off.

Can someone report on comms and AI behaviour please? (I don't have the time to download and test the patch right now.)

Will be testing today, thanks.
Up till the last patch i could see the 109s elevators functioning like regular trim tabbed surfaces in external view: add trim and the elevators deflect.

In reality, what happened was that the elevators remained level with the stabilizer but the whole assembly (including the horizontal stab) would tilt. In other words, you get your trim and you still have the elevator's full range of motion to work with, which increases the amount of available control authority.

If they corrected it to reflect the historically correct method of operation then we could pull off some really nifty tricks by using trim and stick together, or at the very least be able to exit high speed dives with more ease.

Thats exactly the way the trim funktion of 109 is working now.
