Two nights ago right after we won the mission, atag_doc switched to the red teamspeak chanel and played the luftwaffe march for the defeated raf players.
that was a hoot.

For me, the greatest CLOD moments are on the ATAG server, i. e.:

Returning home in a 109 or 110 from a successful mission over England with hardly any fuel and no ammunition left, but a Spitfire in my six. And then, in the very last second, looking behind me and spotting the beautiful cannon rounds from another 109 tearing the Spitfire apart. Especially, if this 109 followed my support request on Teamspeak.

Of course, saving a friendly plane from certain death is also quite satisfying. ;)

Quality of the models .. i can watch them for hours! :)

Attention to details like wheels keeping rotating after a crash, damaged wingcovering fiddling in airflow, flat tyres, modelling of different types of cooling systems, inscriptions on bolts, cockpit textures & reflections, differences in ammo loadouts, etc, etc., etc. Everything that makes this beast too complex and tough to handle ))

I suggest to make a sticky of this thread, as a presentation of the good things of our sim for the new visitors. The image of CloD would benefit IMO.

Yes, please :)

What I like the most in clod is the feeling in dogfight in high altitude, and finally a 1/1 scale scenario.

Have you noticed when you do skip bombing on the sea, and the bomb makes visible splashes, whose distances decrease progressively? :-)

MEDIUM altitude, I guess.

This is what I love. Even though it's still porked for most, it's the best WWII sim out there by a landslide. I cannot even imagine what's it going to be like when it's optimized with double the framerate and some of the locked features activated. Time to get a 120hz monitor and enjoy it as smooth as il2 is now.

I don't know what HIGH is meaning for our friend pupaxx, but knowing the attitude of many online players out there I understand that 6-7km can be called high altitude.
