still remember the first screenshot i saw of il2FB. a Thud over reflective water shooting the inner Guns.

Thanks for that, yes, the settings now stick. There is however still no difference between Forest=4 and Forest=3, in terms of tree image quality or amount. Am happy enough with them as they are anyway, so no loss.
