its the person who thinks new Star Wolves game will be released when both studios who made the all 3 games are disbanded and there is 0 chance for new game.

IIRC Elite Games still "Kind of" exist as some people are left on their website https://www.elite-games.ru/conferenc...51e6729c87181a who were involved with the game.

But since they were mostly modders, one can't really call them a studio tbh, so I dunno.

Kinda sad honestly, even if the source code of the whole game plus engine would leak right now I probably wouldn't even wanna touch it. Legacy C++ projects are stuff of nightmares.

Yea I used to code c++ and hated it. I am sort of learning Javascript to mod Starsector but that has it's own challenges, just not so many.

Funny you mention java, just recently made a private mod to enable reverse engineering all possible Hullmods and Weaponry :)

Sadly it only works on new games, after that a timer will initiate that will initiate the "quest-line" for the player to reach a very.. specific system.

I don't want to spoil too much, but let me just say: you better do a speedrun to get some good gear in the first couple of ingame months, cuz you're going to get visited :cool:

Well I thank you for the link. I will check it out tomorrow. I did wind up making a couple Starsector mods with some limited good reception. I enjoyed the process even with the cross eyes and headaches :)

Yea I am a bit surprised that the ore refinery mod is getting so little love. I tried to also have it convert rare ore but I just could not seem to get them to both work at the same time. Gonna fiddle with it today.

lol don't worry I did it for the love of the game. Just released big patches on both mods. I am going to try and figure out quests I think. I am not sure how I can expand the exploration aspect of the game otherwise

Understood. I made those mods as a way to learn and enjoyed the process. I am taking a bit of a break myself and waiting for the next update. I believe the bare bones of my mods won't need much updating based on Alex's notes which is why I am not adding any more to them until the next update.

1C is announcing a new sequel for Star Wolves serie. Star Wolves 4 - Lotrek Menace. The galaxy is now rulled by pirate lord Lotrek. A small group lead by Space Admiral Hal is fighting the pirates with some advances. There are too small forces leaded by nocalora29 and Nanaki. On the galaxy are spreading rumours there on the edge galaxy is hiding huge fighter fleet lead by Goblin Wizard.

May day May day! - So since the devs do not seem to notice my years worth of pestering. I'm going to try a new tactic and each month promote another space game I enjoy and see if that gets a bite:

For this month I recommend Starsector https://fractalsoftworks.com/
It is a 2d space game that has a heavy mod community of which I am a part of. If you already play then you may be familiar with my mods, I go by Dazs over there FYI. If not, well it is a game well worth the little money they charge for it so check it out and see if it is something you may enjoy and I'll check back and see if there are any comments or questions.

Can confirm lotreks mods are quite PogU, 10/10 would recommend. And the game is worth it even if you're not into modding :)

Thanks for the ups! - Another space game I enjoy (oh and there are enough to fill the year) is Sword of the stars. Is is a well made 4x with a lot of variety and game play. Has a decent mod community that adds to the fun. Long in the tooth old but you can get it on the cheap. Next month I'll recommend a more recent game.

First things first: [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] [O] [ ] ...

Advanced chat function on: Yes the addition of an enemy to fear would make it less predictable for those of us with multiple play-throughs. May be a bit much for someone more casual so a configurable menu at start is a good idea. When you say you'll have multiple agents, will they all be a new faction or somehow tied in with the various game factions. If the latter I would suggest color-coding them according to which faction they belong to:

Green - New Empire
Blue - InoCo corporation
Orange - Old Empire
Yellow - USS corporation
Red - Triad corporation
Black - neutral, controlled by either pirates or separatist
(* Credit Trucidation)

My main concern is them somehow appearing during the campaign and really messing things up. I can think of a couple times where either stealth is key or where a friendly faction turns hostile if you attack anything in their systems. Overall a worthy pursuit and I will help beta test it if you need.

OK now then to my monthly rant - C'mon devs what's it gonna be this month, trick or treat? I suspect trick but I blindly hope for treat.

SO instead of my monthly rant I am switching gears (at least for March). It was sort of heartening to log in and see a new post from a player looking for help on this forum and then Hal2003 came speeding to the rescue. It breathed a little spark of life in this cold heart of mine.

June 1 came around and I considered just not posting this month. It has been made clear to me the the publishers and developers ignore this forum and have abandoned this game. But I woke up this morning and thought of the 5 or so people who still check this forum and well here I am.

I lost faith but I am back in form you almost got me 1C but you cannot evade me forever!

July is here and so am I, Dev's not so much. I have not even played this game in months but it has become something of a ritual to post here every month. Is that healthy? IDK.

Well it is another month and here I am talking to myself. It has been years and I have had some banger comments and some meh ones but at this stage I am sort of out of ways to pester the developers. Clearly the 3rd game is dead and buried and I am just flogging the horse.

I believe this will be my final pestering post unless I hear from some of the people still looking at this forum that they would like me to continue.
