How dead the forums are now has little if any effect on the future of COD, If the game engine is finished and working, everything will start fresh from that point.

Chivas you're right to an extent. But the lack of interest highlights that people have moved on from CloD and, clearly, haven't seen much reason to come back.
Perhaps positive change will bring them back, but if they can live without the game they may see no need to go through further trouble to squeeze the most out of it. I think that's the bottom line: if they are happy not playing it, they may see no reason to go back; especially if the only real change manifests as the next sequel. BoB lovers still aren't happy.

As an offliner it will take a miracle to make me want to upgrade to play this game as much as I am playing BoB2 right now.

It sounds depressing, but it's the truth. I personally don't really care any more either. I just come here to see if there is anything new as I want this game to succeed.

Just release the blasted SDK and let the community sort this game out.

Speaking only for myself here, I have less time for the forum, because I am flying Clod more often.

Other games have taken my prime time...hell...I haven't even logged into the game for over 3 to 4 weeks...and probably won't until it is fixed proper.

But, to take my time up, I have DCS CA (new release), BF3 off and on, Mechwarrior online will be out soon as well (looking forward to that as I played it many years ago and enjoyed it a lot). Mostly just chillin out at home other than that and enjoying my holidays.

That's pretty funny. You don't care, except that you actually do care.

Its the same as quite a few of us really, we want fixed what we have paid for, but can't be bothered with the other 'stuff' churned out (but not very regularly now) by 1C/MG because we can no longer honestly believe what they print.

You hit the nail on the head hear mate.

It's best to avoid David though. He takes everything literally, and lacks the ability to read between the lines.

I have no problem reading between the lines. Mostly it's whining.

If the game engine is fixed the WW2 aircombat community will come back as there is no other alternative atleast at the moment, and I don't see anything in the future that can even compete with IL-2 1946. I had hopes for WarThunder, but their BOB map still only incompasses Manston and Folkstone making it useless for anything more than airstart furbals. The DCS WW2 sim is along long way off.
