What system do u have? Ram? 3d card?
Lot of computer troubles comes with a lot if shit installed on ur machine. Keep it clean.

Ha!
Sorry to quote again, but Im sure his system specs have nothing to do with the well documented, universal memory leak introduced in the last patch.

Mine only crashes when I am online. I can play for hours offline and never experience a crash. One sortie online and the second one crashes.

Granted.
But personally I find it totally unplayable offline.
Reasons have been stated before, no reason to repeat them.

And how often do you play online? The game never crash for me either playing offline but online it never survives an hour, most common is that it dies on the second sortie with an intense memory leak. Im pretty sure it has to do with texture loading as it has happened several times when changing skin in an online session... Not every time and never on the first sortie, I have sent dumps and details to Ilya six months ago and got an answer they will look at it.

As it worked before that last patch I don't buy the argument that they had to do a six month rebuild of the graphics engine to fix it. Of course it would be possible to release an interim patch for it while doing the major rebuild. They just didn't care that the game that we have bought has been broken online for half a year... After defending the devs here since the release I have now reached the point where I'm fed up too after that comment that they would not do a Friday update as they are irritated that their customers are disappointed...

I don't think I follow your argument mazex. The past patch "* Drastically reworked graphic algorithms dealing with in-game color;"

http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=27146

That may have also introduced a memory leak (did anyone have crashes before that?) but I imagine it would take a lot of work to get back to what it was before the patch which, for some, was worse than we have now and would take up a lot of valuable forward looking dev effort. It may not even be possible. The complete graphics rebuild seems to be the only sensible way to go. We just have to wait for it.

And I think you know the devs do really care - its their future, their reputation and dare I suggest their wish that we should eventually be happy with their products. Mind you after some of the flak they've taken while they work on the solutions they could be just about as fed up as you are and see no point in telling us anything that isn't real News because they'll only get more flak for doing it.

Fridays message was "There's nothing new to report".

If I may add my ha'penny's worth. Out of a squadron of 12 pilots, some of the with PC.s that would put a "Cray" to shame, none of them now fly CloD because of all the problems. One of my US colleagues spent $600 dollars buying a 2Gb GPU and guess what, it still crashed to desk top. So it's not just computer spec's that is the problem (when on-line), more a fundamental software problem. All that most people want is the Sim to work as specified on the box. Make no bones about it, when this Sim is sorted (if), it will be the flight combat Sim of choice. In the meantime I'm honing my skills in World of Tanks.

What truly amazes me is how software developers seem able to put on the market a product strictly "not fit for purpose" and get away with it. I must be unlucky with OS's, first I had that MS dog "Millennium" which all and sundry said was rubbish. What is my present OS, Vista 32, and what are the experts saying, you guessed it, it's the new "Millennium!!! I can think of no other item that I buy of value, that I would put up with such poor service without demanding a full refund. We must be all crackers.

I'll try again, exactly what was promised?
Not what was wished for?

Cheers
