Not that I'm aware of.

What would be different if they did? All we've had the last 6 months are "when, hopefully, later, soon, maybe, last minute bug etc" For me everything is just empty air until it sits installed on my SSD. Don't get me wrong, I have 2 copies of CloD so I guess that's the bare minimum to call me a fanboy, I love the series but nothing that has happened before, during and after the release of CloD is the community's fault, everything is on the devs. You can say anything you like but it won't change that fact. Walk away from which project anyway? CloD? that project is already finished according to the devs, just gonna fix some bugs and tweak some FM's and then we can continue our massive online coop wars a la BoB, right?

These last minute bugs -however real they maybe- are turning in to a joke, a joke that has stopped being funny.

Yes, but may be we have the feeling that the same things people is complaing about over and over here, will be probably almost present also in the new alpha - beta patch: antialiasing, 2D sky, clouds, trees collision, multiplayer iusse, dots, CEM, ecc. ecc. ecc..

We all hope to be wrong, and to enjoy the new patch if it will be never released.

13 months from release, 6 months from the last patch.

+1 ( Ciao veltro sono seyou del 51°;) )

What would be different? A far quieter forum I suspect :p

Not quite sure why you think I'm blaming the community though, another attempt to twist what I've said into something it isn't, the only thing the community is responsible for is their own purchase descisions.

Project as in, the series that is being worked on, not CloD in particular.

Agreed, it really isn't funny anymore and I absolutely agree with Tree that it stinks of BS.

Ok Dano, I didn't restrain myself as good as I usually do there. No you didn't blame the community, that was irrationally written by me, sorry about that.

I'll try to formulate myself in a less emotional way this time. All I'm saying is for me it wouldn't matter if they stopped working on any projects since I'm not playing the current one at the moment and I won't play their next one either unless I see really good feedback from reviewers and the majority of simmers out there. For me, nothing would be different if they stopped any projects that they may or may not be developing.:)

I am not sure where you read that the patch would be released this week, the post I read had a big *IF* (no problems are found) on it. This is completely normal, I don't know why people get so anxious over this.

What exactly would accomplish getting Ilya to post some "decent explanations"? Surely it would not speed up the game engine patch, and considering they will be using said engine for their next release aswell, it is to be expected that they will either fix it or find a compromise solution. As for when this will happen... I don't think they have a crystal ball ;).

Your quite right, Luthier as already walked away from the game, no more new aircraft, ships etc etc. The game is already dead, I guess we just financed the next one, but i am certain that Luthier being the great guy he is will give all those that purchased CLOD within the first month of release some kind of discount on the next release, thats the way a decent business works when they realise they fecked up at others expense. Right?

Veltro and Addman pointed out the facts which speak for themselves. There is no apparent proof that the work BlackSix and Luthier are forwarding to us. We only see forums posts so far and it is understandable that some choose to believe it (like me) and some do not. 6 months from the last patch is much time, for any already released game project.

In light of that, releasing the alfa patch might be a good way of showing that something actually is going on.

My only beef with such users demanding the alfa is that few months ago all they wanted is weekly updates. Now we have those updates yet they want even more. How is that ok vs the good will of the devs who sufficed to the weekly update demand?

I wanted to quote you on that as proof of trolling.

Additional BoB airfcraft aswell as their variants and ground units will be added with future game titles as it was with IL2.

You must have known that. Hence the troll report.

Not a big deal to wait a week or two, if the new patch really solves the issues..
In the meantime, going back to Il 2 1946 ...
Always nice and fun
