Shooting up Chez Ma'am is definitely treason, its the Tower and the Block for you my boy! And a queue of people wanting to get their hands on the Axe!

EDIT: hmmm.... I think Sternjaegers next on the list :)

don't get me wrong, I see your point, but it's indeed funny how the firebombing of Bremen and other German civilian targets didn't make you lot feel too uncomfortable

Nice vid though ;)

PPP

It is done especially. It is prohibited by laws of many countries (to destroy some objects in video games).
Say in Il-2 (original) we were not able also to destroy some historical buildings (objects) due to this reason.

So Sternjaeger, even though I personally agree with you in this matter Mr Maddox confirm what I and others have been saying - it is a sensitive matter!
Reality check right back at you. :-P

well if that's the key of interpretation that you want to give to Oleg's statement feel free, what I read there is "the law in some countries tells that you can't destroy symbolic buildings in videogames, whilst it's perfectly ok to bomb other things or shoot ppl dead.. go figure.."

It's the same nonsense of the prohibition of the swastika in model kits in countries like Germany, as in saying that building a 1/72 scale Bf109 with accurate Nazi markings will somehow magically turn you into a Nazi fanatic..

Governments are good in stopping us from using common sense..

Now then, Mr Sternjaeger, I said it made me feel uncomfortable, not that I seriously wanted legal action or a banning of such vids, or physical damage to old biltongbru (whose vids are tremendous).

It made me squirm in my seat a little bit is all.:)

:) I was surprised at the height of Nelsons Column, maybe it is because we have got used to the modern skyline which is alot higher now and lack of other buildings around.
The houses at times look like rows of railway carriages.
A good video though and something the developers should have been doing to promote the game.
I am surprised by the smaller details when they haven't got some larger basics correct ie engine sounds, cockpits and lack of some landmarks and inaccurate maps.
You state you had to edit it to get it to show smooth
"I recorded at slow speed and corrected with movie editor to ensure a smooth image."
What was the quality of the gameplay before editing?
Thanks for the video ,very nice.:)

We agree so lets drop this. We're taking focus from an incredible video.

Thanks Trumper:)

You can reduce game speed up to 1/16 of normal speed.

With my "outdated" rig (intel 4 core and GTX480 card) the gameplay at normal speed was stuttering with flickering and pop-ups but depending on the amount of objects on the screen the fps changed between 10 and 30.

The video fps is 25. If you record at 1/16 game speed then a game fps of 2 will result into a perfectly smooth video when normalized to the correct game speed in the movie editor (Sony Vegas). Even all tree and building flickering disappears with the final video. With the slow game speed I do not experience building pop-ups either.:)

Again I think this game is ahead of its time; we need the future super computers to run this game like soap and then it will be appreciated for what it is intended for.:)
