Of course I should have guessed Branko... U were a rear-gunner in the B-17 in u'r last life! :-)

Please tell us about the "Sentimental Journey"! I'd love to hear u'r story and see a few pics of the bird if possible.

I think it's more about the pilot though and their ability to hit the wings/ engines or as dk says the belly. The 17's fun in team battles (did I say that) as it turns into the 'great b17 giveaway' in that they line up behind it giving your guys easy pickings!

congrats Site on getting you're b17 :)

im the same Gilly there are a few i fear flying against! no matter what you do you can never get her ass the way you want it to go, ooooops left wing bye lol, as you've heard me say before .............. "ive been McQ'ed " hahaha

stuka's i find notoriously difficult to shot down ........... Hmm might have something to do with me being pants at dog fighting :rolleyes: lollol

siteseeker 02-22-2010 07:55 PM

i don't know which is more difficult.... shooting down Gilly or Branko... i do know both will make you earn that kill!!!!!

...isn't that the point, noob or ace, is to get on someones 6 and hose them down with lead?:lol:

Didn't see the post or I would have looked at it. always like looking or reading about the old birds. I have seen several in my time...even was there when the 909 crashed at the Beaver Co airshow...wished i had it on video.

http://www.airheritage.org/ <<< pic of crash no one hurt cept the plane and they fixed her up better then what she was when she came here.

So i followed your wish and placed that story five days ago right here, but no one took notice or said a damm word about it !!!

For that reason i have delete it again, Yes it I for one read your me really sad when people act interesst in something and the outcome is just zero, nada, nothing !!!

Your female B-17G pilot branko57

Hey Branko, I for one enjoyed reading about your time flying on Sentimental Journey. Going to airshows, sitting in the front lower seat, and how the B-17 crews ignored each other (sad). I would have commented earlier, as I'm sure the others would have too if we knew you wanted us to reply. Anyway, see you in the sky... watermanr7

Yeah, I'm sorry i missed it completely there Branko. But your post made me google "Sentimental Journey", and it was a feast to find out about that bird. So thank you for u'r post.
