Well my friends here we are yet another June and no word. Well since they apparently do not check this forum then allow me to promote a game that I have been playing quite heavily over the last month, Starsector. ( https://fractalsoftworks.com )
It is an open-world single-player space-combat, role playing, exploration, and economic game. It is played on a 2d plane as opposed to Star Wolves layout. There is a lot of lore but no campaign as yet in just exploration in the open world version. There are various one off missions that are seperate from the open world campaign play that are fun in another way.
There are a ton of mods for it that expand the gameplay ( https://fractalsoftworks.com/forum/i...hp?topic=177.0 ), I personally recommend a vanilla play to get used to it and then a mod called Nexerelin that adds a sort of 4x layer to it then pile on as many or few other mods you find interesting. Most work well together but if anyone is still reading this and has questions, I'll check in a couple times this month and answer what I can.
