the communication fault is of Luthier's who doesn't understand that, while saying "minimum 2 weeks" won't bound you to release anything after those 2 weeks time period (and it's a good thing he learned that), it still bounds you to give an update of the situation after the said 2 weeks, or close enough..

I still can't understand the failure of spending exactly 5 minutes to post something like "guys, we're sorry we couldn't managed it in two weeks, it seems we'll need another three at least, so see you then. thank you for your patience!"..

exactly my thoughts. Incompetent in communications.

So come on Luthier and gang

What part of "two weeks minimum" is proving to be so hard to understand?

1. Nothing is hard about that.
2. STILL what is so hard about taking two minnutes to post a simple sentence saying that it takes them a bit longer? NOTHING
3. Why don't they understand that they would appease a lot of the community by just doing that, posting regular updates that give rough directions for what is going on?

Seriously, how hard can it be?

because can be also 2 years for a patch, so after the 2, now 3 weeks gone we expected some communication from them.

Chivas 08-27-2011 04:59 PM

Its also not that hard to figure out that things are going as well as hoped. Or for the conspiracy theorists " They have the patch done but really enjoy reading all the crap in the forums".

1) Apparently it is.

2) Redundant post, it's clear it's taking longer else we'd have a beta patch. Why waste Luthier's time asking him to post what we already know?

3) Appease? not a chance in hell with the denizens of this forum.

Predicting delays in highly detailed complicated software is the easiest possible prediction. Everyone understands that, but hoped the development would have gone better, but if you want to take credit for the obvious be my guest.

furbs 08-27-2011 06:08 PM

Chivas, Tree(and one or two others) was predicting that the development was in serious trouble a long time before release and he was 100% correct.
He was attacked and called a fool(and worse) because of it.

Well I posting about SLI, and faked video's and that Oleg was no longer working on the project etc etc... I could go on but I really dont like to brag, most of the rational people here know that i was well ahead of the game. Some like yourself just have trouble in admitting that I was right, but I agree calling the delays was easy.

If you had bothered to check, you'd noticed that I'm also all for fixing the game so that it's playable for the majority.

What I DO have massive issues with is how you and other parts of the community behave and act. It's quite frankly childish, immature, rude and completely and utterly idiotic.

Then again, those are my opinions.

Or he is MIA, or he is overlaidback in Malibu beach under Califórnia sunshine and, girls, of course. Who would care for a flight sim?

Nobody had a problem with Tree predicting that the sim was in serious trouble. It was the manor of his posts and insults towards the developer.

Redroach 08-27-2011 09:55 PM

stop these threads! Use a phuugging existing thread, there are many per week. If you have a hard time in reading comprehension, counseling is available.
I'm also not too delighted of the conduct of the development team. But one thread per Friday is sufficient, really. The *reply* buttons really DO work, you know?

ATAG_Doc 08-27-2011 10:52 PM

There are 5 who whose name will not be typed that constantly do it.

If luthier were a family member I would definitely be concerned, but since he's an unrelated developer who said hes working on a patch for COD, I wouldn't be too concerned, for quite a few weeks. Work this complicated takes time.
