Customs. I know for a fact that some customs people can be officious little twonks, and wont let things in unless everything on the documents is 100% perfect and in triplicate.

Of course thats just speculation on my part but it happens all the time here with other goods being imported.

Went to the States to get it

So I took a posters advice and went to Bellingham to buy the game. I was there and back in under 3 hours ( border waits included ). Now I have the game and I feel for my fellow ( gameless ) Canadians. $49.99 US gotta love it.

If you live near the border, call ahead and go buy one. End your pain.

This is actually the best theory so far. When I read that my first thought was that it's totally possible. I'd say more copies of NHL games (especially 10) get sold in Canada than the rest of the world, combined.

I'll bet its like 90% of the Hockey titles are sold in Canada.

There is no need for another Canadian to rant here but screw it; I"M ******* PISSED!!! On the 8th I was dissapointed, on the 15th I am pissed! What the hell is going on? I don't even want to play the demo anymore, it's too much of a tease. **** the border, **** the french, **** 505, **** EB Games, and **** me!

*Whew* I feel better now.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

What store in Bellingham had it in stock as I see a short drive in my Immediate future?

Lexandro 09-16-2009 12:36 AM

I swear the man/woman who opens a gameshop right on the boarder with Canada on the US side would make an absolute FORTUNE. Why wait several weeks when you can simply cross the border, and be right at a store that has it for sale?

I was really hoping to scrore the T-shirt with my pre-order but if I go to the States I will loose that of course.

Mr_Steven 09-16-2009 03:22 AM

Haha I actually went over to the Gamestop in my local mall on the 14th to see if it had come early, and they gave me a T-Shirt just because I was the first one to ask about the game. Kind of cool, kind of sad...

Another trip to EB Games today, another depressing failure to claim the prize.

I knew today wasn't the day when the clerk asked me and my friend if we were the two looking for 'that Starkomick game' and that it wouldn't be coming until the 18th.

We originally checked in on the 8th, and were told that it would be in stock the next day. The next day, we came in and were told it'd be in on the 15th. So it was to our utter dissatisfaction to be told once again that the title had been delayed, this time until the 18th.

I ended up pre-ordering it on the 15th anyway, and by the looks of things we get no pre-order bonuses.

This is really getting on my nerves.
