Mate, I've been using Track IR for years. I started out with the basic Track IR and, after getting use to it, found it to be amazing. I now have the new Track IR where you can not only turn your head but lean sideways, forwards etc. I couldn't go back to not having it. I also have a problem, after flying CoD, in turning my head to get a side view if I'm watching a show on Foxtel about planes and they're filming in the cockpit. It would be funny watching me leaning over or turning my head whilst my eyes stay fixed to the screen.
I sent my old Track IR to one of our members on this forum. I forgot who it was and didn't charge any money for it, also paying for the shipping from Australia to America. I just wanted him to experience how cool Track IR is. It's an awesome bit of kit.

I'm not using TrackIR as I'm not the richest person on the planet... lol What I can say, though, is that I've been using Facetracknoir with a PS3 Eye and am absolutely amazed with the results! I went from being someone who slightly enjoyed CloD but was constantly teetering on the brink of murderous rage about the performance issues etc to falling hopelessly in love with what we have right now, despite it's faults. Yep! It has made THAT much difference! Seriously! (Obviously, I am still waiting for the patch... don't want people thinking tracking turns you into an uncritical fanboy or anything. lol I still have major gripes but the pain is greatly lessened. :D)

Considering the general opinion seems to be that TrackIR is far superior to Facetracknoir (The price, if nothing else, should hopefully reflect that)..... I would recommend it highly! Once you start using it, there will be no looking back...... well.... technically there will be but you know what I mean. :D

You see, Moggy, never ever have "ideas" while flying (obviously a rare occurrence in your case), since it interferes with TIR.

Started using Trck-Ir about 1 1/2 year ago, couldn't do without now, even if I suck as much with it than without :-P

I started playing ROF still using the hat switch and did ok, but I couldn't imagine playing ClOD without it, especially when using the clickable cockpit.

Using Track IR for a couple of years now and I am stiill at times amazed about the technology.
In many ways it has been like going from Mouse to Joystick. It's just leaps and bounds above everything else in controleability. The only thing coming close is Padlock, and I still pity those folks without TrackIR flying in servers that have it deactivated.
In many ways only Track IR enables you to fly maneuvers enabling you to shoot from positions in knifes edge combat situations with any chance of success, tight scissors a primary one where planes change positions around you in a heartbeat.

Before Track IR I was confined to pure boom and zoom tactics only.

I use TrackIR 5 and wouldn't want to fly without it anymore.

I have had to manually adjust the curves in all games to make it feel more natural. The original curves have too much of a dead zone / slow zone in the center which was the main problem for me.

Once I tweaked the TrackIR settings / curves, it feels very natural and definitely gives me an edge as I can quickly look around the cockpit in a natural way. Keeping your eyes on a target while doing maneuvers, for example, becomes so much easier when you use TrackIR.

The more I use it, the more natural it feels, and often I find myself trying to use my head to look around in games that don't support TrakcIR. :)

I find it hard to fly with roll set to on in my settings, so i always have it turned off:-P

I love it , however I found out putting a deadzone in roll , and turning off the
zoom feature works best for me . I can aim better and I prefer joystick buttons
for quick zoom in and out , FOV 40 , Wide View,Normal View, and Gunsight View...etc.
All this works great but I still get my butt shot down all the time
