I would love to see a way to set default formation spacing in conf.ini

Its the most annoying thing in the game for me, Loosing wingmen or myself because they fly at 60m distance is very frustrating. Also some formation shapes seem to require more space than the default.

I'd rather see that option in the mission file.

Adding a value directly after the formation variable, in meters.

[r0101]
Planes 4
Skill 1
Class air.A_20C
Fuel 100
weapons default
[r0101_Way]
NORMFLY 20434.23 23393.10 500.00 300.00 &0 F8 50
NORMFLY 33021.71 23491.19 500.00 300.00 &0

(50 being the new value).
Obviously, you'd have to be careful with this cause you might have values too small or oulandishly too large (not sure how that works).

But I think the mission file is where that should be, not conf.ini; as that would/might retro-actively affect older mission designs.

Of course I'll state the obvious:

Not likely going to happen since changing formation spread is right at your fingertips in the radio menu; although the flipside to that statement is that it won't help you if you are in the 2, 3, or 4 spot, so...

Why not both :D

The radio menu to change formation spacing is clunky and sometimes I find the flight goes back to default spacing at waypoints. Also the change for each formation spacing step seems to be only 25m! Having a conf.ini value for flight spacing just simplifys things.

Ideally also a formation.ini file would let you set the formation shape and then the conf.ini adds another additive to it ie.

[Column]
0;0
0;-25
0;-50
0;-75
0;-100

I suspect that the default formations are all hard coded like that?

If someone chooses to change default spacings in conf.ini its on their own head if it messes up old stuff.

Well wok seems go ahead well on the upcomming channel map. But what's the latest news on the content intended for the next update?

Will the Greif be ready to be included?
Will the C-47 and versions be intended for 4.14?
Will the Ju-52 be intended for 4.14?

Any other aircraft (AI or playable) that are intened to be included with 4.14?

Any new ground or sea units that are intended to be included in 4.14?

Any new maps intened for 4.14? I suspect the channel map will be intended for a later update.

Any news is usually good news! ;)

Good Sir,
You know what would be fantastic? Grass, real 2 dimensional grass waiving in the breeze like the in game trees. What's the chances of that? :D

Sure , grass would be nice! the landscape looks too "flat"

I understand this correctly: The He-177 "Greif" can fly a player?

Partially... :( Pilot's cockpit + a single gunner. The other 4 gunner positions wont be playable sadly.
