In all seriousness though, there's no use debating this unless we know the specs of that PC and the settings used. It looked fine in this week's tiger moth video, also judging by a couple of frame jumps it seems it's the real deal and not a render through the ingame "export to avi with no frame loss" tool.

You know I would rather have some stutters then that jarring LOD/object appearance. But that is not CPU limited, thats a GPU problem you see there. The cpu would not limit the popping, that is most likely do to as you said low graphics settings (so why are they showing it?) or really bad coding and therefore bad memory management which prevents them from loading the objects into Vram or rendering them. Again thats GPU not CPU.

Looks really good. Very good report. I wish they did one like that in English. I think my 12 gigs of ram will do the trick 8-)

In the future (even possible now), there will be no LOD models. Just one model... and depending on distance,the GPU will reduce it to the bare necessity of polygons. No popping any more.
