instead he got deliberately given misinformation from tree's with his moronic monotone singsong of lamenting discontent and negative depressive banter. "highness" presumed it was accurate because he had it directly from somebody on the 1C forums who has a high post count "and has been there awhile", and hey presto another damaging unsubstantiated rumor got started (all of which harms sales !!)

i think tree should be booted for his persistent deliberate destructive behaviour, he's been temp banned for it before but obviously he has no intention to change. its not even some minor personal aberration he has, a quirk that might be overlooked otherwise. he is doing it deliberately and constantly, and yes it is not only plain rude and ungrateful of him (given the amount of information we get here and being given the access to "constructive input and feedback on WiP), but it is also has some damaging effect as has been clearly illustrated by this series of events

The sales figures are tumbling as we speak,:grin: Now the real funny thing is that as you will clearly see in my post that I make no mention about SOW being released in 1 years time or that the development has been put on hold or postponed for a year, I said and i quote, "now try and get back some dignity before release, im guessing you've got about a yr, so not too long" emphasis on the words 'Im guessing'. Now if your daft mate (if she really exsists) takes that as an official statement then im afraid she's more stupid than you are, which is an achievement in itself. No offense of course.

Anyhow Im getting bored of your pathetic and continual attempts to get me banned even though they have amused me, but for the first time I can see you are actually serious, which makes me just a little bit sorry for you honey.

So, a guy who's been out of touch with the IL-2 world comes here and asks "what's going on with this new sim guys?" and what does he get?

A forum regular responds in an ok tone stating his opinion that the game has quite a few months of development to go. Another regular then explodes into a shower of rage. Then they take it up among themselves to battle it out in a case of "he said, she said" escalating to the point of clinging at whatever possible straw to try and out each other as the one who's wrong.

I don't know about you, but game or no game, if i was a new or returning player/virtual pilot, such a poor show from the forum regulars would leave me greatly discouraged from participating in such a community even if i bought the game :grin:

We all know Tree is a pessimist, but that doesn't detract from the fact that he's got a right to state his opinions. I don't necessarily agree with him but as long as he's not insulting people and going ballistic i don't have a problem with him either.

Then again, that doesn't change the fact that so far he's been right in his predictions. Does anyone of you have SoW on his hard-drive? Did anyone come up and say "Tree you were right when 2 years ago you were saying we won't see SoW until 2010, i'm sorry" as a means of bridging the gap? Yup, guessed so.

I know that someone will say his negativity is rubbing off the wrong way on people and it's bad publicity for the sim. So what? Did my opinion on the quality of SoW change because of Tree's opinion? No, it didn't. Can he or anyone else make me not buy the sim? Again, no. So what's the freakin big deal? As far as i'm concerned, the only way for me not to buy SoW would be if SoW got released as an incomplete product with a stupid DRM implementation.

In a similar fashion, there's loads of people criticizing everything from the rivets to the shape of trees. Well, they don't influence my decisions and i don't influence theirs, we're all just excited and talking about what we like and dislike and guess what, different people can't like the same things all the time.

To think that Tree alone can make or break the sales of SoW is either overestimating him or underestimating the development team. Come on, let's all have some common sense here and give the devs some credit :-P
