I couldn't agree more with this guy or House MD -- this game was a tremendous let down -- but maybe my expectations were just too high. I stopped playing it about three weeks ago -- but check this forum now and again for any news.

About sums up my feelings now too. I can't find ANY games now at the hours I play, and with no split screen for local multi, its all over for me :( My friends that were playing ditched it quite awhile ago. Was very excited about it when it came out and broke my usual rule of waiting a bit before buying 'all new' titles (did that with Flashpoint too lol ;) ).

Funny, the first thing I thought when I put in MW2 and that patch downloaded, was "WTF IL2, they were ready before we even had the disc!" lol :)

Hope to try the patch out at least before it gets traded in. I'll give it another week or two but I honestly think its not going to be anytime soon, and it isn't going to bring online play back to life (most important part of a game for me).

And by the way I waited for this game,Payed for flight stick and game.and my Xbox.and my big screen so if I want to bitch,I reserve that right. And I could give a flip if anyone agrees with me or not.

I feel the same as well. Maybe I was over-exagerating the whole coaster post. However I also think the same people behind this game also made several titles for pc to hone their flight model prowess...I am really angry about the P-51d, I wanted that plane and it burns me to know that if anyone tested it first, the thing has a little bit of a "flying problem" to say the least and thanks for messing up the P-47D I payed for and played other sims to get myself prepared, just to be easily out-turned by an IL-4 bomber. Nice, all the ruskie planes rock, and everything save the brit planes are fodder...I get the message being American. They had better adjust the fuel load on all the planes...Makes me want to kick someone in the balls after playing awhile.

ok as part of the USMC.We got orders to move from 1 base to another base .we moved 1240 men.78 trucks.12 tanks 7 helos.and all the equipment for every man across a country A ENTIRE COUNTRY all in 24 hours...

That's what $720 MILLION A DAY will do for you. C'mon... get real. Apples and oranges.

aaaanyway, they said they finished the update a long time ago and the publisher is sitting on it for some reason, so don't blame the dev.

Sorry, but taking the time to post, just to say that you can't be bothered to respond doesn't cut it.

I am an adult, own my own business, a house, am married and have a daughter, so please don't talk down to me.

My post had nothing to do with 'brown nosing' either the developer of the moderators (?). Cheap shots with nothing behind them also don't cut it.

I was only calling out the ironic immaturity (do you really need all the caps?) and irrelevance of your comments. I still fail to see how your example of moving a lot of people form one country to another has anything whatsoever to do with the update to this game. Perhaps you could elaborate?

Very big complex things in life can happen fast if enough effort is given to the operation. And very small things can take forever if the operation is being conducted poorly.I`m sorry but we are talking about code in a computer,X`s and 0`s.in the binary code.It just seams to me this should be a thing that programmers, developers ,and game company's should be able to do easily. You know like it was there job or something.

And if the hold up is not the programming but the process and testing and getting the "OK`s" to proceed ,then maybe we should look at the process. In any event,Its a fact the game was misrepresented.and not tested properly before release and 100% of the attention should have been payed by the company's,programmers, and anyone else involved. To fixing the problems with this release before we ever heard anything about the next release.

Can a mod please lock this thread, its utterly utterly pointless and counter-productive; some people are angry, some people are not, just forget about it. If you aint gonna play the game, then dont. If you have some gripes about it, keep it to yourself and stop ruining it for the rest of us that still enjoy it.
Please, someone just lock this thread.

And by the same token American troops should never fire on friendly forces...oh, wait... And you mean to tell me politics doesn't get in the way of military action? Stop drawing comparisons - they are not applicable and fall over with the slightest inspection. Just trade in the game and move on if you're that unhappy.

+1 to SloppyClock ^

Don't blame the creators of the PC Il2 series for the messed up flight models in BoP. The PC Il2 series was made by Maddox Games, while Birds of Prey was made by Gaijin Entertainment, using the Il2 game engine and name.

I know Anton has been claiming BoP uses the PC Il2 flight models, but the P51D in BoP does not fly like the P51D in Il2. The P51 in Il2 1946 is a capable performer, fast and reasonably maneouverable, especially at high altitude, and while it can be a handfull to fly with a high fuel load it is in a different league from the P51 in BoP, which is at least 50mph slower and stalls in anything but the gentlest of turns.

Same goes for the P47, while the various models of Fw190 seems heavier than they should be (lower acceleration/top speed and easier to stall than PC versions).
