What about putting some genuine WWII aces in as well? It's hard, but not impossible to find profile pictures of them.

Douglas Bader:

Werner Molders:
I'm sure there'll be a bigger version of this book cover somewhere.

I'm sure there are plenty more photos out there that are good enough for a basic profile.

Let's not forget the visages of Czechs, Poles, South Africans, Canadians, Australians, Americans, and other nationalities that contributed as well.;)

Yeah, I was looking for pics of Screwball Beurling and Sailor Malan, but to be honest finding anything other than a low-quality portrait is hard for all except the most famous of aces. I can only find one quarter-profile picture of Bob Stanford Tuck, for example, and it's on a website that doesn't allow image downloads (how 90s is that!?).

In that case you could hit Ctrl+Print Screen and paste the image into a photo editing program (or just MS Paint) and crop the image to what you want.

Yeah, true. It wasn't a very good picture from a modeller's perspective, though. Proper side profiles are the objective.

Guys, I don't think that developers need any old pictures.
I guess they need modern, digital ones, so they can work on them easily.
It would add a lot of work to them if they had to take some ace's old picture and had to work on it so much to make it fit in the game.

The pic I posted are Americans in RAF service.

Just as a reference more than anything else.
