The default key "screen print" no longer is valid.

Thanks Buchon.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, your video is very nice, but I think that you don't know what is fly fluid truth? It has stuttered and stoppages play in large quantities, so I reluctantly say that this Simulator needs a lot work even so that it works smooth...It is a shame but is the reality...I have a very powerful Pc, and sincerely well meets the highest requirements and do not work me correctly, and unlike other simulators and games work me perfectly with everything at the top...a shame...I hope to continue working hard to ensure that this happens to be fluid and stable without mumbling and run the antialiasing, because that order to make it a bit I have to put it in X 8crazy! luthier please continue working hard, I want to fly the Simulator to taste and...

I still get massive fps loss when over industrial areas.

F.e. in the channel free flight in the 109, I fly low over the town, when being around over the middle of the town, I pause the game. Then I`m panning the view. Looking into the direction of the industrail area, the fps halves.

Settings are medium to high, fullscreen 1980*1080

system:

i7 2600k @ 4,5 GHz
Asus GTX570
Asus P8P67
8 GB RAM
SB Audigy Gamer
64 GB SuperTalent SSD
Samsung F3 1 TB
BeQuiet E8-700 W
Thermalright Archon
W7 64 Pro

You know of course is YOUTUBE pauses to buffer more VIDEO that it didn't appear that way in the game right????? You also notice that his view system is not TrackIR so its not going to look as seamless.. I saw no pauses in the portion of the video I watched.. only buffering from Youtube as the video loaded

Do you have SSAO OFF?
Do you have the Epilepsy Filter OFF?

Your system should run the sim very well.. Your VCard has 1.25 G iof VRAM on it... try lowering the building detail to medium.. If buildings are set to unlimited try HIGH. You should be able to find a sweet spot at very good settings where the game is fluid..

You need to remember that the cities are insanely details..at the highest settings you need the highest hardware.. I have a single 6970 Card and it has 2 Gig VRAM which runs the game great.. there are a couple of driver related graphics things..but its smooth as silk even over London.

Here is what I would suggest..

Pick a quick mission, use that as your test mission. Enter the mission and immediately hit SHIFT/TAB and type fps START SHOW then hit enter and then SHIFT/TAB again to close the console. You will see a baseline fps number.

Exit the mission and go into Video Settings and try lowering a SINGLE setting. Go back and rerun mission See if it had any effect.. not only on fps but how it looks.. You will find that some things on LOW use as much fps as when they are on HIGH..so might as well use HIGH. Other things on Medium look the same as HIGH and save you lots of fps.. Tweak one thing at a time and see what is best for your setup.

When the Original IL2 came out I bought a new Rig for it.. over Cities the game was unplayable.. slideshow.. everywhere else it was fine.. this game is similar because its a matter of how many triangles you need to create and texture.. those cities are detailed enough for a first person shooter let alone a flight sim.. The good thing is I got a new system this time and I can run HIGH settings over London fluidly..

If it's because of my system then that's fine, but surely I must still report what I feel may be an anomaly regarding the performance over industrial areas?

That could be different.. They did a lot of work in the first couple of weeks optimizing the city buildings they had and it made a HUGE difference in performance over London as you can see for your self.. maybe they did not work on the industrial structures to that same level or there is a particular set of features that are causing it.. If that is the case its a matter of re optimizing the industrial 3D models.. I thought your issue was over built up areas in general

True, it's not perfect. I never claimed it to be.
Notice my hardware (which is nowhere near yours I suppose), and notice the settings (and consider there's also video recording going on). Are you seriously expecting better performance? If so- there's your problem.
Right now nothing (apart from my skill) prevents me from sticking to my opponent's six, even with this huge city around us, and this is good enough.

Maybe I'm just lucky, maybe I spent a couple hours testing settings and reading advice on these forums, but I can fly in this simulator. Now all I need is the missing content and just need to wait patiently for that.

What? After me praising the devs to the hilt in my opening post??

Maybe you need a cup of strong coffee. ;)
