Tree I have that problem on Axis settings and it's due to a twitchy Axis that jumps in ahead of what I am trying to set. I have to move my twitchy axis until I find a quiet spot then select what I want. If yours is a button problem you could have a noisy button or a twitchy Axis that you have set to Banded and programmed keys into.

Think about what is barging in and whether or not the above could be the problem. Look in the Windows Controller properties for your X52 and see if anything is twitchy.

btw, my twitchy Axis is on my second old X45 that I use for various other Axes/buttons but it is quite happy to hijack a setting I want to use for my X52 (main stick).

As this was deleted in another tread....

The game does load all texture LODs for every object instead of just the LOD0.

As my system is ratehr slow I can watch this rathr pronounced effect whenever I switch between cockpit view and external view, for example. I will always see te game load the LOD4-0 instead of just loading LOD0, which can't be very efficient. Yet would explain why approaching an object, plane or crowded city, will result in heavy stuttering, while on the retrun leg everything is fine as all LOD textures are already int he cache.

Any thoughts?

Great game with lot of potential.

I heve heard that Hotas of any manufacturer isn't supported ?
I use a Logitech G940 Hotas set and that isn't supported at all.
Throttle responds half way the other 50% isn't been picked up, respons when backing up the throttle from full, the first 50% is not responding.
In the options screen/controls is i miss the Stick selector to choose from :(

- When I shit/ctrl-f2 to cycle through all planes and come back to my own plane, all sound seems gone.
- still missing radio commands (no confirmation, no response). Am I missing something here?
- AI: Sometimes acceptable and looking good, but on other occassions they crash into the sea for no apparant reason or crash in to me or other wingmen. Need however more time to look at ace and veteran levels.

Here is my problem, and I know I am not alone there are MANY posts by people with many different controllers, all reporting the same problem.

The game will not recognise my controller axes.

I have 3 CH controllers and the game simply will NOT recognise the axes when I click in the change box.

Please do not patronise me by telling me how easy it is to make the game see axes, I have played IL2 from DAY 1; I KNOW HOW TO SET THE AXES; in that game and in this one.

I am using Win 7 64 bit and as I say the game WILL NOT RECOGNISE my controller axes.

Probably already mentioned but:-

Anti Aliasing/Anisotropic filtering still not working correctly ie still lots of jaggies and shimmering present.

In padlock view when destroyed planes hit the sea or land there is no crash or splash, they just seem to disappear on impact.

ME 109 machine guns sound like a synthesized drum roll!

Still lots of stuttering at low/medium altitudes along with wildly varying frame-rates.

Setting up joystick/throttle axis needs attention ie 'jumping' and not remembering saved settings.

Exiting the campaign game means starting again, ie progress is not saved.

Aircraft customisation/loadout/paint schemes are not saved/usable

Radio Comms not working.

Ai planes crashing for no reason. Ai not taking evasive action when under fire.

Trees flying out of enemy planes when they are being hit by machine gun fire (LOL !)

Wot! No widescreen support!!!

Multi-player still broken.

More to come! : )

System specs:-

Q9550@3.8
Nvidia GTX480 on 266.58 drivers
4gb ram
1680x1050 res
Sounblaster Extreme Music

Occasionally huge discrepancy between external view and cockpit view:

when I sit in my cockpit I fly around as usual. When I switch to external view it happened to me once that I no longer could control the aircraft and it behaved as if autopilot was switched on (it wasn't).

Also on this occasion I had my engine badly damaged and it only turned through wind. In external view it was still running (though not well) and I would bet that I even got some thrust from it ...

Axis do not work for me as well.

The game will not see my controllers no matter what I do.

I also have the unrecognized controller axes problem, and agree with Wulf...it seems to be a 64-bit Windows issue. That is the only common denominator among everyone with the problem who has posted their specs. I will also post this in the controls section.

Think that tail wheel of Blenheim have a problem, still offset to right even if rudder is trimmed to left. The command "Lock tail skid" (dont find "Lock tail wheel) dont work in this plane.
