I'm inclined to buy the collector's edition, printing out that whole manual costs me a lot of toner which I can use for better things.

While I'm as thrilled as anyone about this, I fear it's a bad move by the marketing department to change the name "in the last minute". As I understood it, the plan was to make a NEW series of games called Storm of War, in which Battle of Britain would be the first installment. That would make perfect sense.

Since they decided to keep the Sturmovik name, there's a chance that customers will think "oh it's just another expansion for that ancient game" and move on. But on the other hand, Sturmovik is a well established brand name.. so who knows what's better??

Anyway I don't care too much! Looking forward to flying again!

WE (the customers) DO!

They should have said "By the makers of IL-2 Sturmovik"

HUGE difference

Very nice news, but is this the game we were waiting for "Battle of Britain", or is it a pre release version of it?

I believe it's the same game with new title forced by publisher (ubisoft).

Thanks for the link. It was great to hear they had that much fun developing the game. My only concern now is their next addon to the series, when Luthier said there will be alot raised eyebrows when its announced. I think it may now be something other than the Med.

We know Luthier is developing IL-2 Korea and another third party developing IL-2 Battle for Moscow. It was strongly rumored that Oleg was going to do the Med, but I'm not so sure now. Its all good and let the speculation begin.

Mission editor ?

Hello,

Congratulation for the whole team, that's really great news. The flight school part is a really great idea.

Maybe I have missed something in the various announcements, but will there be a mission editor in IL2/COD ?

Best regards,

Ogier

Yeah hmmm I wonder what the next addon will be. I'm trying to think of some really obscure ww2 battles that haven't been touched before in a sim.

India? Burma? Italy?
