Come on guys! You all know we are going to buy this game when it comes out! Most of us have been following this game since it was first announced early in 2004! My first whining for this game was in april 2005.. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/t...803#7071082803 It can make anyone loose their patience.. but emotional cost? That's for pancies... Skarphol |
Jeez, its amazing how so little has changed in the last 4 years and how little we have actually seen of a Sim thats been in development for soooo long. But i have faith and truly believe we will see this Sim within the next 2-3 years.

BOB SOW or whatever it is going to be called runs the risk of losing its fanbase.
People who used to play il2 when they were say 15 years old will be around 25 when BOB is finally realeased. At that age they have other things to worry about than playing computer games. A new job,a career,a wife,one or more kids,mortgage,new car,new house. You know the usual stuff when you get older. Playing flightsims is usually not considerd acceptable by the wife/girlfriend. As anyone married knows, all fun is history when you get married. So bye bye BOB. :cry: Any 45 year olds with the kids out of the house and finding more time to play il2... They will be 55 and older when BOB is released. At that age you have lost the fast response time needed to play the game well. You know trembling hands, loss of memory etc the usuall things when you get older. Anyways those people will be too busy boring their grandchildren with war stories from whatever war they were in. Nopes no BOB for those people. |

Speak for yourself you young whippersnapper. I started playing IL2 when I was 36. Now I'm more financially stable, 2 of my 3 kids are out of the house, my wife has already been trained on how to deal with me flying a few nights a week and the wisdom that's come with the added years is more than adequate to deal with those youngsters that have quicker reflexes but lack the patience to set up a proper bounce. Yeah, I'm good for a few more years. So, if it takes that long to get this next sim on the shelves, I'll survive. |
@Thunderbolt56 :grin:
yeah you go get those youngsters oldtimer! Have to admit I am even older than you ;) but still enjoy flying my spit or yak from time to time. Not without protests from my wife though so I guess the females in your part of the world are a bit more tame and forgiving. ;) |

Hmmm
Once BOB SOW comes out . ..
And it runs on a system within specs w/out crash to desktops, weird errors, or slowing down everytime a formation of 10 bombers. And the flight model is almost, almost, like the real thing, passing by that rain squall, and the thunderhead's updrafts buffets your plane . . . Engine start up is a throwback to that warbird at Osh or Dux. then the reflection of the waves and shine glowing on the white cliffs, passing by tree tops, and you watch the birds wheel about in your wash . . . When you send that biplane making a torpedo run on your fish friends below, into the drink with a water geyser splash, and the gentle prism like drops rain across your canopy and streak away . . . The wait will be a distant thought. |
