Good luck with the 670, should be a great card.

Would still like to see some official support from Nvidia though.

I have tried all the profiles I could find in the forums, including luthier's. still i don't get any performance increase and instead my FPS become erratic and microstutters are bad.

Too bad, because i just upgraded to a 3x24'' (1290x1200) and i really need working SLI for that.

I guess I will have to park CLOD and wait for BOS, since ROF SLI is working great for me and if they are using the same engine i assume SLI will work in BOS.

jcenzano,

How did you instal Luthier's profile? does it show in Nvidia Inspector?, if not then it hasn't been installed correctly.
Also if you have updated the drivers then the profile will have to be re-installed as it has no official support with Nvidia and will be deleted with the new driver instal.

Luthier's profile is easy to instal if you follow the correct proceedure. Luthier mentions a profiler from the Russian site, you don't need that, Nvidia Inspector will do the same thing and is easy to use. There are a couple of tricks that I've applied on top of the profile and I now have smooth performance even down at roof level over London.

The main reason Sli works well with R.o.F. is that the fps are limited (now there's a clue for you). If you would like to try again I will help.

Clearly this is not their priority.

Wow! I missed this one. Do you know if this is still on the cards? If it was it would be a fantastic way of bringing together the two communities and forging ties!

Cheers!

Skoshi,

Somwhere over at the new forum I read that they would not be answering anything about C.o.D., that is finished. I also PM Black Six over there as his message box was full here about Sli and all I got in reply was that "the people responsible for that had left the company". If Loft was taking over C.o.D. BS would have known, so can't see that happening. Looks like what we have with Sli is all we will get. Don't really care now I have it working smoothly anyway.
All I was hoping to do was to help others get the best possible from their Sli setup. If they don't need or want the help that's ok too, I'm really happy with sim now I have it working ok with Sli.

This works. tried it last night and went from 10-25 fps to 30-80 fps
470's in SLI. 296.10 drivers are the last ones that worked properly for me.
Any newer drivers throttle one of my cards back to 5%.

Both cards match each other in Afterburner too

I can get the same performance with my Sli but have the fps limited to 35 and find the game play is smooth now.

If you want to try the fps limit do that in your afterburner and in Nvidia Inspector as well.

Cheers

Rick

I think i'm using Luthers SLI code but am not sure, where is that code change and I'll double check.

If you have it installed correctly it will show in "Nvidia Inspector" profile list, also in the Nvidia control panel. Look for this: -

"Il2: Cliffs of Dover"

I think you'll like that 670. I don't fly on line much but, off line, I can max everything without shadows. With shadows, I get small, occassional stutters over London. Good card. I do have a ton of RAM (32G), which might be part of the reason for my "success."
