Wishful thinking, supposition, use of 'logic' or reading between the lines does not make a release date. Please post a link if one has been posted.

Cheers!

So I've got some time on my hands... going to kill it here on the boards ;)

To be fair, we have to take some kind of meaning from B6's words, even though the company is non-committal to an exact date. So, what have we got?

From June 22:
This week we have completed all the planned work on the patch and are planning to start its assembly and testing in the coming days. Therefore, we do find it difficult to give an exact release date.

So, Friday last week ALL PLANNED work was complete. And there were testing in the COMING DAYS. Now, granted we need to allow for some language translation, but from the above one should reasonably be able to assume that a patch would be a matter of days away, rather than weeks. So, anything from, say 5 to 15 days? (june 27th through until about July 6th). I think that if the patch is delayed beyond that point, it's arguable that B6's report was misleading.

From June 15th
A very short update today. We’re continuing to work on the patch. It’s largely done but DX9 stability remains an issue so we’ve had a quick discussion a few minutes ago and decided to let it simmer a bit longer.
We did make some progress this week......We’re hoping that we’ll have a playable stable version of the patch ready very soon.

This was the week prior. Patch by that stage was "largely done" which is consistent with the update a week later, when it was COMPLETE. The decision to delay was based on a "quick discussion" only a few minutes before the update - which conveys the strong suggestion that the decision was unscheduled. Couple this with B6s statement that the patch would be ready "very soon" one cannot be blamed for thinking that this was a matter of days, and not weeks or months.

There is a consistent pattern here of using terms and references that indicate short time spans of days, maybe weeks, rather than months. For those that have assumed, based on this evidence that the patch should be out in June or July 2012 then I think their assumptions are well justified.

So in short there was not a release date mentioned, nor a specific number of days until a release. Just as I thought.

Thankyou for your research into the matter, it should stop some droll and repetitive arguments.

Do you ever look in the mirror?

Everyone knows there has not been a release date, yet you still managed to add a page or two of droll and repetitive arguments on the subject.

These forums resemble vultures picking scraps of dried meat off each others bones... constant bickering of complete bollocks. Its actually quite entertaining.

I recommend leaving the forum then. No need to litter it with cries about your psyche stance.
