Open the file named 'conf' using notepad, you will find it in:

MyDocuments- 1CSoftClub - IL-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover.

check/change the value in the line highlighted red below to 0 (ZERO) and save. Thats all I had to do to get Fraps working again.

Tree UK, have you changed the conf.ini flag for 'changescreenres' to 0 as I suggested above?

The default is 1, Fraps wouldn't work for me untill I changed it to 0. It works fine now!

I have try'ed all the things talked about in this thread and Fraps just will not work with the retail latest patch that was downloaded.

I still had the old retail parts saved and fraps works along with other things like fuel load and gb campaign mission with out the plane crashing instead of flying over the hill, and the sound work like thy should.
CLoD really works better with this patch anyway.

Some say that fraps works with the new patch. Some say it only works in windows mode. Some say like me that it just does not work no matter what thy do.

The last patch was made for online anyway so I will stay with the earlier retail patch.

Do I think there are trolls that would like to see this sim fail. Does a wood chuck chuck wood?:) This is just IMO.

With 'changescreenres' to 0 , fraps appears on the game load screens but when you try to record ingame live footage it dose not work , im not surprised as these so called patches are causing as many problems as they are solving.

Fraps is recording but I have just noticed that the Frame counter is intermittently bleeding through onto the recordings. There is definitely a conflict with the official patch that wasn't there before and it seems to be with screen resolution.

Unfortunately, I didn't back up prior to the official patch and was quite happy with it. Not sure I can roll back to beta or pre beta either as the files that were changed are different.

I wonder if its possible to get a copy of the pre official patch 'Parts' folder in the SteamApps - Common directory?

May be someone could donate one for us who are having problems.

Ok I have also tried everything to get FRAPS working in the latest version, followed all the tips posted here to no avail so i will be sticking with the beta patch and avoid online play untill it is fixed or another solution is found
