Oleg or Luthier told us years ago we were going to get a fully working and adjustable reflector sight. I wonder though if the bulbs can burn out and can be replaced by clicking on the spares. This sim is going to give us a much better insight on the workload of an actual WWII combat pilot. Looked at the detail of the Blenheim bombsight in a video, unbelievable. Another thing I noticed was the pilot of a huricane moving sideways as the plane yawed from left to right. Same with 110 gunner and Blenheim bombardier.

Bouncing someone at full real online, who's in cruise mode to safe fuel, will be a lot more realistic. No more manhandling the engine or you'll walking or swimming home. Getting someone out of the sun is also going to be more realistic. One of the vids showed a spit pilot looking over his shoulder. You could see the radio setup and the inside fuselage construction. Oleg's a bloody genius, no other discription will do. If it takes 6 months of paid beta testing to get the rough edges smooth so be it.

As it is, after 10 years with Il2, I still notice new things. With this sim it's going to be another 10 years before you've seen everything they put in. They basically made a study sim with 6 or 7 aircraft. Insane. One of the Russian guys said that deselecting realistic engine management increased his FPS significantly. A sign for me that there is a lot going on under the cowl. Those that still insist that CoD is a dolled up version of the old IL2 engine have a serious screw loose.

Sorry guys I haven't played IL-2 Sturmovik and am completely a newbie to WWII flight sims :)

Possibly it needs swinging to the center as was the case in Il2?

Hey Tuck ... you figure out how to brighten the crosshairs yet?.. that one stills a mystery to me

The bit about the gunsights is extremely cool. Can't wait to start playing with the settings!

You got it Ice - that's what I did in my first ride - naturally :)

With TIR I've also been shooting alot with just moving my head. This eats the Mod TIR-6DOF for lunch - even excepting the graphics. The TIR interface and it's integration in to the cockpits I've flown is smoooooooooth.

Just to be specific - I've flown the 109, Hurri and G.50.

LOL! Holy crap is the 109 a lot of work or what?! I can see that there will be no more afternoons straight out in the cockpit for me, I fly for 10 minutes with this and I need a nap.

Hi BadAim - glad you got it :)

Higher-Fidelity and More-Immersion comes with a penalty!

Imagine if they ever create devices that simulate smells?

With the Revi gunsight you do this by clicking the bottom of the gunsight (both dim and brighten control very close together)

With British gunsight, only know how to turn it on/off at the moment.

Haven't yet discovered if you can set up range/wingspan dial on joystick axis.

In the manual it says they haven't done this as it is sadistic!

LOL!
