FW-190 has been known to dominate these guys, online. On Spits vs. 109s A-6 has a 2:1 K:D ratio against P47D. And a 14:1 K:D A-8 vs P47D-27. Numm Numms! Over 1.69:1 vs Tempest and 6:1 vs P-38 L.

I don't know why the A-8 is having so much trouble against against P-51D-20NA, my experiences have been they are piloted similar to the 47's.

The A-9 has technically a better showing, but it's more subdued. Against the 25lbs Spitbag, its 1.81:1.

The only planes that get me worried are the Spit IXe flavors. Those guns chew wings off with the quickness.

We had a server setup dedicated to FW-190A8 vs P-51D dogfight.
Realistic settings.
P-51D on 25% fuel is;
-faster than FW-190A8
-can outturn FW-190A8
-is more maneuverable overall

Now what is situation vs A9 i don't know.
