are you useing the rudder and brake when turning?
Yes, If I am banking low to the left I would pull back the throttle and turn the rudder accordingly, while rolling to the left.
then i have no idea i use spit 2 and kill hurricanes with ease
When I fly a Hurricane I can outturn every fighter exept for the I153, I16, La5 and the La7. At the right speed and elevator sensitivity the hurricane can turn inside a spitfire quite easily in sim.

I don't fly many dogfight missions but today I flew a LA-7 against a Spitfire in a 10 minute 1 vs 1 DF. He nailed me 5 times and I got him only once ! I thought I would at least be a match for him but he could out-turn me nearly the entire time. I tried slow fast high low but couldn't out turn. I havn't really used the La-7 before but will think twice about it again. Was it my connection ? Is the Spit really THAT good (i don't use it that much either) ??? BTW I use the regular PS3 controller, not a joystick. Should I get a joystick ?

On arcade I out turn everything but a 153 in a spit 2 in realistic I use spit 9 and I am at least equal to anything I dint know how the xbox game works but I have never been outurned by a hurricane on any level in a spit also I thought the joystick was horrible

Thanks Mav. I'm gonna start flying more Dogfight missions and will try the spit to see how I fare-out. Another question ? I'm using a wireless router on my ps3, would I get greater control on gameplay and handling if I hard wired my ps3 to my internet at home ?

thanks buddy. i might have a look at it this evening.
i have used both wireless and hard wired both with no problem IMO the spit 9 is the best by far for realistic i think the only thing that is more manouverable is the la7 and only slightly but with the la7 haveing only 2 nose mounted cannons it makes it hard to hit anything the spit has a wider range of fire and is very stable when fireing its all i use in realistic i havnt played much sim but the games i have played i used the spit 9 and did fairly well
