this game is just as bad as it was before the patch performance wise tbh,no real improvement here, even when using 1 gpu, still rubbish!
|
I have to say the patch has made no noticeable difference on my system. I still get playable framerates running at 1680 x 1050 with
Mirror: off Model detail: high Building detail : very low Land detail: low Visual effects: high Damage decals: high Building amount: low Land shadow: low Grass: off / Shadows: on / Roads: off I still get some stutters in the midst of a furball (6v6) when lots of guns and hits are happening. When i turn any of my settings higher the fps drops sharply, same as before. BTW- i'm still loving it, same as before ;-) |

Luthier, the issue with HD6xxx series cards might be the same issue I get with my HD4870. The issue is the cards do not clock up to max clock speeds when running Cliffs of Dover, they sit at idle. All ATI/AMD graphics card users should check their clockspeeds while playing Cliffs of Dover, you may find its not clocking up and this is a significant cause of FPS issues.
I get poor performance from this. My workaround involves forcing clockspeeds on the card and overriding the PowerPlay function which controls the clocks dynamically. I am not sure if this is a driver related issue or due to the fact the game runs in a pseudo-fullscreen mode which is not common in 3D games. |

I'm less concerned about the graphics at the moment and concentrating more on how to get a merlin to run fast without blowing it up- this CEM is HARD! |
@ Blakduk...
How are you turning your Land Shadows to Low? |
