Regarding Kraken's post:

Geez, the little details they are modelling are amazing. Loosening the safety harness for better visibility at the increased risk of body movement during hard maneuvering is pretty neat.

By "flame burns through skin" are we to infer that fire will now dynamically burn through aircraft aluminum?

For the Med Theater of Operations in 1940, however, he already has available (in SOW:BofB) the RA BR20, CR42, G50, and all the early RAF birds, Spits, Hurri's, etc.

He just needs a map of North Africa (Libya-Egypt front, which is lots of desert, and Malta) and he can immediately put a SOW:Mediterranean on the shelf for sale...expanding aircraft types in a subsequent Med-1942 release/patch. SOW:Moscow would require an extensive array of new Russian aircraft and more complex new maps.

Just a guess...imho.

Sounds logical to me.

1. Now any part of the plane (and not only engines, or fuel tanks, as it was in IL-2) can catch fire.
2. If a part burned for too long, it turns into damaged state (if not already).
3. The fire can spread onto neighboring parts, i.e. you may catch fire somewhere in the middle of a wing and then, in some time the whole plane, from nose to tail will be ablaze, if you don't manage to extinguish it somehow.

That's awesome.
Will oxygen, say if the fire was in the cockpit, cause the flames to be more fierce. SO if we turned the oxygen supply off, the flames would go out?

That head on attack would make me jump under the table!

Makes sense...

I certainly hope this release order is the case. Otherwise, DT should have more freedom to make mediterranean content (not to mention all the great med content that was vetoed/not pursued in the past). Storm of War will be awesome, there is no doubt of that, but I hate seeing the MTO getting the shaft as it so often does. Here's hoping we'll see a Med pack for SoW soon after BoB is released (I haven't seen any official comments on this at all).

I think it was said that the Med is next after BOB. A lot of people love Korea but I'm sure that will be kind of a separate thing? Half the population of Hyperlobby would be furious if it branched off into another war before it went down to North Africa, but I've seen a picture of a Sky Raider but no F4 or Spitfire Mk.V. No P-40s etc. So I don't know what to make of that :(

Yes he has several times in fact over the years. Also his recent statement saying that they would like to start with the next product having about 50% of the content from Battle of Britain - So North Africa makes some sense as much of the aircraft content for all three air forces represented in Battle of Britain would be either the same or various advancements on what was in Battle of Britain (i.e. it doesn't take much to model a Mark Vb or Vc Spitfire from a Mark I or change up a Hurricane I into any Mark II).

Excellent work!

May I suggest Mr. Nearmiss or other moderator to put a sticky post with this link on top? So everybody can have at hand all the videos (and others that could appear?
