Ignore list is great, I can only see half this thread! (The bits worth reading)
:)
I really do hope there are other things in the beta we don't know about, or I can actually imagine all the '6 months for this?' posts.

Those will undoubtedly come no matter how awesome the patch may or may not be :)

But hell, I'll settle for a game that's playable over time. That's enough for me. Until then I'll enjoy poking my head in here and watching the mayhem and exchange of opinions going back and forth like pingpong :D

Chivas 04-19-2012 04:30 PM

I don't know how many million lines of code there are, but there is a reason that there is inhouse testing, expanded inhouse testing, and sending out beta testing to a wider group. Its almost impossible to test every situation and bugs can be missed. You can fix a hundred bugs, but those fixes can create bugs in other graphic features. To suggest there is some sort of malicious skulduggery going on is beyond immature, when the developer can only guess when responding to the endless "when will it be finished questions".

PLebre 04-19-2012 04:30 PM

Just a question.

Is the laggy movement of the "manche" in cockpit view and external parties like flaps, etc, gonna be correct to smmoth movement, in this future patch?

Stipe 04-19-2012 04:31 PM

Where are the mods when you need them? Same people in every thread saying the same things over and over and over again. Grow up finally will you!?

satchenko 04-19-2012 04:31 PM

OK... really bad news...
"Two weeks" from now... 8-10 days fixing the problem, 3-4 days to test again...

;)

Well in last Friday update they said there's plenty more, I'm more interested about that then any performance increase.

SOrry all for the short delay while we fix these small bugs that we would like fixed you all can enjoy the fruits of the 1C teams labour.".

Well that is what spat out in google translate... :)

Thanks BS, gives me more time to build online missions. Overall I think the positive response from most has bee great. Wish your team the best! "

So what kind of maturity is shown releasing a product you know doesn't work, just out of interest?

fruitbat 04-19-2012 04:47 PM

Have you guys heard of PM?

philip.ed 04-19-2012 04:48 PM

I have sat back and watched this thread go down the drain, and I think I will post my views. Frankly it's the cause of one person, who has trolled in here and disrupted and harassed one user (just as he does in every topic).

I'm sorry to write this in bold, but hopefully a moderator will notice.

Tree posted a simple question in here to B6.

David Hayward responds. He has nothing positive to add to the topic, nothing constructive to say. His posts are merely to upset and provoke a reaction.
Oh, he says he's trying to help the devs with suggestions Tree should see the code? Laughable. It's bullying masquerading as snide vindictiveness.

And it's never-ending. Every time Tree posts, he's harassed; and when a user suggests a scheme to get him to shut-up, David agrees (which, incidentally, overturns any suggestion from David that he was posting to help the development process).

I don't care what it is Tree is posting, it doesn't condone David's constant responses. If it was so bad a moderator would step in

Back on topic, thanks for the update B6. I hope you get through it: it's clear to see that a lot of work is being done on this product.

thanks for update, B6.. and keep up the good work!
i think you don't need to give more explainations of what goes wrong or what doesn't.. I know team is working hard and is working to mantain alive this great series... the better you do for us, the best you have in your pocket and for your satisfaction IMHO
that's all i need to know

If you still don't understand why the product was released unfinished, then there is no point in any further discussion.

Not too sure about that. Devs say BoM is based on CoD engine, they want to sell BoM. Even among the CoD zelots (never mind the 'normal' simming community) who will jump in on BoM without some tangible proof the basic engine underneath it works ? Add to that the fact BoM is almost entirely fought over land, frequently at low level, nah, somebody will be frothing at the mouth over the prospect of that payday slipping away.

Anyway, looks like feeding time at the zoo is upon us, will leave you all to it and see whats what next week.

What about fuel? It is working in the B109, but not in the spits.
I want fuel!!! :p

Pretty much spot on, don't you think?

I reported his first post for the reasons you wrote above. Clearly an intentional provocation. As always.

that's the point Sir!

David198502 04-19-2012 05:17 PM

well, somehow i expected another delay, but still its very disappointing for me...
right now personally i really would prefer to install the beta even with the particle problems it seems to have...
but
what im really interested in, are the graphs...
if one looks at the G50 graph, this really seems to be close to the real thing now, but what about the other planes?there is still a pretty big difference between the performance in game and the pilot's manuals..
if you look at the 109s for example,...are you trying to make it closer to the real thing in the future at least?the same goes for the RAF planes of course, but we will have to wait for the graphs to be shown, to judge...i just want to have it as realistic as possible.....if you can do it for the G50, then you can do it for the other planes as well, so please DEVS, dont stop to tweak them.i wish you and us quick success for the current "graphics" problem.

Didn't he say that before the 2006 release date? Or maybe the 2008 one? Hardware has advanced 5 to 7 years since then, so that statement is pretty much not valid anymore.

Disappointing news...but we should all look on the bright side...this means we'll probably get to see more nice pictures of Russian villages tomorrow.

Yay!! :-D:-D:-D

(I heard a rumour that the CIA have devised a new technique to break the tougher prisoners at Guantanamo - they lock them in a cell and have them wait for a COD patch...)

Why are we complaining?

I know, I have complained myself over this game and the bugs,
but the fact is I have enjoyed il2 cliffs of dover more than any other flight sim. Have put over 100 hours in it and are still flying it. Can't say I have that with other games / sims.
The only other game I have equally many hours is maybe X-Com UFO :p
