The distant terrain is filled in instead of looking like a slice through puff pastry and it also seems to have improved the appearance of distant water. I don't seem to have lost distant dots although of course they are now slightly blurred. Regarding NVCP settings, when FXAA is enabled it disabled the normal AA selection although that can be selected before FXAA is selected. Does FXAA ignore any normal AA settings or does it operate on the selected AA output? |

Acorrding to driver information, FXAA works on the overall rendered frame, so it does not override the other AA setings, it is applied on top of them. |

I just set AA to 16xCSAA. Looks nice. |
Mine is set to 32xCSAA and still no impact on FPS for me.

I'm using the settings recommended by kendo...these drivers are beautiful in game, but the screenshots don't capture that beauty

Ive just checked and i think your right. Its the FXAA and not the CSAA. |

Actually, displaying my ignorance, I had always thought the card AA settings did the job independently of the game but we all know they don't in CoD, we can't even set AAx4. I guess its something to do with the way the graphics are/aren't coded. |
I can only change my Screen Resolution using windows control panel with this beta driver, I can normally do it in the Nvidea CP.
Is this a bug in the beta driver? |
Quote:
Do you see Change Resolution under Display? Does that show your monitor ok? |
FXAA does work, and yes it does get rid of jaggies, but its more like a full screen blur than anything, like someone put wax paper over the monitor
|
FXAA seems to work great, except I am getting shimmering on distant landscape. Anyone else? Any fix for this?

Resolution problems.
I've just downloaded these drivers and I'm having an infuriating problem. When I go in game, I can't get it to run at the native resolution. It's zoomed in to a lower resolution.
This is also happening in the SF2 series and the old IL-2. Yes, I've checked the in game settings on all the programs and they're all set to the correct 1920 x 1080 @60Hz native desktop resolution. I've looked in the Nvidia control panel and everything looks set correctly. I thought it might be the scaling option (under display settings) but changing the options there make no difference. I've also looked under the Win7 control panel and everything there looks ok. With the previous version (285 i think) everything runs at native res no problem. I did a restart after updating the drivers. Sorry for the long post but I'm obviously a tool and can't see what's probably a simple solution. Any suggestions? |
Working fine here, I like the way they perform and look as well...maybe run a cleaner to get rid of any possible conflict's
|
Thanks Klem but there is no option listed 'change screen resolution' in the Beta version Nvidea Control Panel - it doesn't exist. Every other version I have installed has this option under 'Display' but not this latest beta - weird!
|
Re-install mate. might be a good idea to run a cleaner too.
|
No problem here, if was happening to me, I would re-install them

Good results here, did the usual remove old drivers via CP, restart in safe mode w/o networking and run cleaner, restart w/o internet and load drivers/ restart.
Def. seeing AA in CoD and some very good resluts in RoF too. |

No different with a re-install so went to the Nvidea website and downloaded again. The original Beta I downloaded was 160Mb and this new one is 201Mb and after installing this one the option to 'change screen res' is now listed. :)
Apart from the file size, the only other difference is one has 'English' in the file name and the new one has 'International'. May be it was a duff file/download? |

Yea, unfortunately you will not be able to, sorry dude...many monitor manufacturers are misleading people just to get the sale and the almighty buck in their hands. You would need to purchase a monitor that is advertised as, and is, a "true 120hz" note the word true...here, read through this for a full understanding of 120hz... http://www.overclock.net/t/662628/60...20hz-explained |

301.24-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-international-beta.exe and Propeties gives it as 200Mb, Explorer gives it a 205,794Kb Basically its an archive (I can open it with 7zip) so maybe the CP content was damaged in some way. |

That's another very important fact for those looking to buy one...I love this Planar, it uses the Samsung display with the guts being the renowned Planar brain. Nvidia 3D vision logo embedded in the case front. Anyone in need of replacing their monitor, or thinking of getting a 120hz...buyer beware:cool: |
Just thinking, these drivers ok for 560i?

Cheers, then uninstall these drivers, run the driver cleaner then re-install.

install over the top it removers older drivers itself. I removed other drivers through control panel, and windows always reloaded drivers on start up which can cause issues. |
