I ignore the ground targets in tiger hunt, fly high above first checkpoint and a wing of 8 FW190D jump in.
Lets start the dogfight!

Sim score- a modest 3655 on Dover... 8kills...

last game finally made a beautiful run on 3 heinkels without a scratch and then clipped a fourth.... one he111 flipped into another! Utterly jaw dropping...

beginning to come together with barrell roll attacks on he111 and looping scissors to bleed speed and reposition...love this game!

what do you mean no brakes? There are brakes when you land in this game, reversing the throttle thumb stick slows you to a stop when landing. im 90% postive on this, it cant be friction it slows way too fast for that.;)

Hmmm, thinking about it you might be right - still I would love to have a confirmation from Anton :)

I know that pulling the throttle back on the controller engages the brakes, but we heard no comment from the devs yet. Though it would explain why you sometimes flip over when stopping - which is kind of annoying when you pulled off a nice landing :(

3134 points, 8 kills, 3 objectives ... landed in a field

(point is when you are in that pack bombers you collect so much lead that you haven't any speed left for the stuka's ... you hear those nasty tic, tic, tic of bullets hitting your plane ... but the game is surely beautiful with so much action going on)

btw, if you order your squad to attack, do those kills count too??

are you rolling and moving as you take out the He111s?

squad kills don't add to yours, not sure about score...

Also trying to line up some bombers is pretty devestating:)

for me its whatever point on the roll than the bomber falls in the sights, quick burst, continue rolling scissor/loop whatever...

Head on is fun - who cares if its not productive...

Should be good tactic for killing the pilot!

juz1 08-12-2009 07:54 AM

did some research today and head on was a favoured anti bomber tactic...I also saw a Pathe news info film showing a hurricane attack pattern across the wing axis avoiding the gunners arcs of fire...

now if only I could avoid target fixation I might not ram the buggers!!
