Reviewers have played both.

Yeah, it's cruel world.
But releasing 2 demos is providing too much of the game for free.
The business is selling game, not giving it.

Nope.
Only one.
Guys, it is DEMO. Not free game, or limited time trial of the full game. It should work like teaser.

guiltyspark 07-21-2009 07:16 PM

ya but is it multiplayer?

because thats a more important selling point than singleplayer

I understand the reasoning. I'm just glad we're winding down to the release date.

I've provide reasons for both demos in some thread.
MP is for Flightsim lovers and community.
SP is for broad audience, casual players.

I'm glad we get a demo at all, and personally I rather have SP demo! Demo a few weeks before release I think Anton said!

SP gives people time to learn to fly the plane. If all you have is MP then you won't ever get that chance and people will just get frustrated.

Personally i would release the single player - reduces the amount of cheapass people who just play it over and over instead of buying the full game.

See Battlestations: Midway for a classic example of a business killing demo.

That's a perfect example.

With a demo you got to save content so that when people get hooked they've something to look forward too.

At any rate, if people ended up JUST playing a MP demo over and over it would be a disaster.

Kryptonite's point is well taken too, a lot of people are going to have to straight up learn to fly - not so easy when you're being worked over by vets.

"...rather soon..."

I am rather pleased
