I thought we heard 16 too, but if not, I think 8 is plenty for a flight game with the right people. Small enough to be tactical and not just a frenzied mess of wild shooting and insanity. OGF only had 8 and oftentimes we played that with just 4 and had a blast. Good size for communication without being cluttered.

Isn't there another game mode that involved bombing the enemy base? Could swear I remember seeing that somewhere.

I'm not saying that there can't be great games with just 8 players... The problem as I see it arises when it comes to public games which anyone can join.
When you only have 4 players per team, one noob/smacktard/idiot is enough to ruin the game or seriously cripple all attempts at teamplay. Those players don't have as much effect when you have larger teams. Let's just hope for the best... I've heard about those bombing missions as well. In any case, I hope they give bombers an actual use in online games, so it does not turn out like HAWX where every bomber is totally useless in multiplayer. :? |
The best cure is a good friends list and only play in private rooms. :)

am I the only one that suffers crippling lag when theres 16 up? E.g. cod 4 ground war- 8 is manageable-
if you have a weak team member, play different, help them out, treat it as a challenge, whatever... be happy, at least "camping" won't dog a dogfight:grin: ps mercenary team modes means everyone gets a share of smacktards... ________ Dragstar 1100 |

8 players online is fine , and in deathmatch it will be spectacular. I do wish that the capture the airfeild gametype was 16 players , or at least 12 but the numbers are perfect for deathmatch and team deathmatch |

In COD4, the game chooses the host out of players in the room, so blame the game. ;) Quote:
